Sandra I'm going through your video for the 2nd time as a refresher. You use a lot of software which for a beginner is quite pricey when first starting out in this industry. The subscriptions and credits for most of them can become a little prohibitive especially when you also have to factor into the business advertising costs, fees for Etsy and possibly software that helps find niches and relevant keywords! It would be nice to see how you cost your output and see the net returns/profits as an example. This would give people a clearer picture of what budget they are looking at.

Word of advice to people wanting to try this: POD stickers and graphic tees are more likely to get sold. POD art on posters and canvas aren’t really sought out nearly as often, as per stats. It’s not really worth the time if the end goal is to make money. However, if you just love the idea of selling POD for funsies and expression and don’t really give a shit if your shop does well, then obviously that’s fine.

Just keep in mind that there are some fake promises made here that make your expectations really high untill you are grounded by reality. There are other KZbinrs showing you how they end up having only 20 or 30 bucks of winnings or even minus after creating 30 different low content books in the right niches, after they calculate all the costs involved. And colouring books are definitely waaay too oversaturated. So I would be careful with promises like "make 9000 $ a month", it's just how much They are making as Pros

At this moment, it is crucial for individuals to prioritize investing in alternative streams of income that are not reliant on the government, particularly with the existing worldwide economic crisis. Investing in stocks, gold, silver, and digital currencies can still be profitable during this period. Therefore, it is advisable to explore these investment options to secure one's financial future.

Thats what people said about every invention ever. Have you ever stopped to wonder, that efficency trumps everything else? Lets take farmers for example. Back in the day, before any machinery, you were forced to work by hand/use animals to try and speed up the process. But since with modern day farming technology, farmers don't need to strain themselves as much to maintain their crops, (I'm talking physically). With your attitude. I could see you during that time period saying, Hard Work Labor by hands - RIP. Would you rather todays farmers go back to just doing everything by hand? Good luck trying to find things at the grocery store, things would be sold out quite quickly, with a long wait time for food. You might say "Yeah but thats different" and my response would be: not really. Its the same thing here. And for the record: Human Art Work Isn't Going Away just because AI is around. Just like hard work in general, by farmers, still aren't going away. Still got a tedious job to do, it just make things easier when Technology makes your life more efficent. Hope this helps.
@patriciaellinghausen43655 ай бұрын
agreed. the issue is that with the ease of everyone being able to generate art like this, devalues the skill. NO one will PAY for human created art. Does anyone remember what happened when desktop publishing and web site templates happened? Graphic designers who had work faded away. Ask me how i know. the emergent AI even more potent a force. it calls upon all the historic work of years and years of artistic history and artistic skills.

Great overview! Idk about other countries but nothing AI generated in the US is currently eligible for any copyright (June 2023). To be legit copyrighted, it has to be human generated and the editing tools on these platforms don’t qualify as human input. Just took an AI webinar from an intellectual copyright attorney 2 weeks ago. Can they kick you off their platform? Only until someone sues them for it. They have no legal right to commercially license any AI generated artwork or text, period. While that does create a bit of a quandry for those of us who never learned how to draw, that’s where the legal status of anything AI generated stands right now. To be sure anything you post for sale is actually legally protected, the best bet is take a drawing class so you can make your own. It’s less that the cost of just one of these platforms for a year, and then it’s 100% unique. Don’t forget to sign and date them before posting the pics of them online; that’s how you know it’s real artwork. Could you digitally sign and date one of these? You’d have to be an expert at coding to strip or change all the meta data embedded in it, which is more time intensive that just learning how to draw yourself.

So in my research about AI, they say you can't copyright an image made by a non human. So, if you allow the purchaser to say take it to walmart to have printed, how do you provide proof it is allowed to be printed, when there is no copyright? I don't understand about "commercial use" license. Do you have to buy something to give the buyer to allow printing? I don't get it.

Why would somebody pay for the art when they can make themselves at a push o0f the button?Waste of time... I am a very good artist and have had my stuff up on Fine Art America for years and HAVEN'T SOLD 1! TRUST WHEN I SAY MY ART IS PRETTY TOP NOTCH FANTASY REAlism.Blended with nature, animals, beautiful sunsets ,beaches, sealife ,jungle I am VERY proud of my art.I used to just draw with pencil and ballpoint pen now I have graduated to digital art which is by far my favorite because I can achieve such a high level of success without canvases laying around and my place stinking like paint thinner.There is a lot bigger learning curve as well working digitally and finding a work flow that you can just rinse and repeat.Once you learn the tools and purchase a digital art tablet like a Wacom Intuos or the Cintique you will not hardly ever use paper to draw again.

Fine Art America sucks for selling art because it is completely saturated. If you want to sell your art, have it printed on items and sell it a craft shows. Take your art and let it inspire designs for fabric that you can have printed on Spoonflower and you can sell fabric or you can make things with fabric…it’s endless.

@@SandraDi You are by FAR...I'm talking miles ahead of the rest of the content creators teaching REAL, and Not so difficult strategies to build a digital products or art business on Etsy!! I've watched a few others I didn't comment on because autoplay moved to the next video. Someday I hope to repay you back for all the value you've given me by doing some kind of marketing or sales project together . In fact, here's an idea we could work on and test together: I really like your cityscapes idea for digital wall art and you create some beautiful artwork! Maybe I could start creating some to test in cities you haven't hit yet and get your advice on whether the artwork is compelling or attractive enough to have people pay for it. When one starts to sell in my testing you run the same image in your store or change it up a little and improveit and run it. It's a big world and I think the key is to find people who take pride in being Bostonians, New Yorkers, Parisians, etc. Then create artwork that's stunning and add text that will make them feel proud. I watched a Netflix documentary on the bombing of the Boston Marathon, and it was well-done and I enjoyed it One thing I learned is that Bostonians call themselves and think of themselves as "Boston Strong." and have a lot of pride in their city. Great to test there. You can see samples of my Midjourney artwork at aiartforyou.com

Secondly, this will work for a short while until people realize they can make their own AI work and print it for like $10 at Staples. Good luck with this.

Absolutely wonderful & informative video 😁 can these printables be used on other products like t shirts, pillows and cups?? Or is it just for pictures?
