Wow, here you are crediting another and encouraging people to buy their recipe and won't divulge it and you uploaded this after announcing how another did the extreme opposite of ripping off every aspect of your biz. You are a good person! THIS is how it should be, no stealing, doing one's own thing (you modified it to make it your own) AND credited the other biz. Thank you for your honesty and support of others.

Thanks so much for the video! As a soapmaker, I've been asked to make a shampoo bar, and while I had a vague idea that they use more ingredients than a regular natural soap bar, I had no idea what actually went into it, including that they are pressed and not poured into a mold!!

I use the same DIY recipe, but changed a little bit up as well!! I did enjoy watching this video because my batter sticks to my hand mold and I think they all have the same amount of batter, but come out all kinds of sizes!! So, I will try plastic wrap next time and weigh them. I have hand press molds, so I hope I can get it to work!

I use shampoo bars for my body because of the lower pH. I have psoriasis so soap is too harsh on my skin due to the high pH. I still make soap and give it away ☺️. To melt the formula you can put it in the oven at 220 and check it every 15 min.

Question, I see you measuring the weight but then your press machine loses some of the product out the sides. Do you account for that and over-measure to balance out the chance of air bubbles? Or is it to ensure you get the same weight every time?

It's interesting that after putting the SCI noodles in the food processor and then heating it all up, you still have pieces that resemble rice. Is it that the noodles cannot be cut down further to fine pieces or powder? I also got SCI powder from Nature's Garden for a great price as someone else commented on, hopefully you'll be able to get it in the future! Thank you for your video's Jerika:)

Awesome! I personally love shampoo bars. They are great because beyond the surfactants, you can add all kinds of things to your mix to give it different formulas for dry hair, oily hair, chemically treated hair, etc. I always find a complimentary conditioning bar is great too. I've had a lot of fun formulating from the base recipe. (I use the same recipe you do) It's a great one. Itsjust nice it is so versatile! Jill Gross

Hii, if I want to change the quantity of bath bombs to a smaller batch, can I just divide it by 2 or 4 or will it spoil the recipe?! Thanks in advance
@cryingbroken88243 жыл бұрын
Ever knows how big it was supposed to be when you start tossing ingredients into the bowl...so again if you keep RATIOs the same, how does the recipe know it's only half as much as it was going to be? If you're really uncertain, go ahead and make the full recipe and divide in half, sealing one half in an air tight container. Then label well and make at another time.
@cryingbroken88243 жыл бұрын
Going down, well no recipe knows how big it was originally written to be...
@cryingbroken88243 жыл бұрын
Myself, as another amateur homebody soapmaker((etc)), I find if the RATIOs are kept the same, it's much like any other recipe(baking etc...) usually it works, but sometimes it doesn't. Of course that's going UP in size, doubling tripling and so for going smaller, as long as the RATIOs are kept the same it shouldn't make any difference. Of course, there ARE always work arounds...
