What a great tutorial!. I have never thought of making or using these pins but you have just made me want to give it a try! Have a wonderful day!

It's almost impossible to get the long pins here in Australia but making the stickpins really is addictive, thanks for showing all the options Kelly.....-Elaine

You're welcome Elaine - I love making these pretty things and now that I know other uses for them - I have an excuse. TFW

I love your pins. I use to use them for setting my treads aside when I did Lacemaking.

I actually have a type of lace making frame - very small and just heavy wire that I used to use to make doll hair (with yarn) in my early days of cloth doll making. I've never tried actual lace making with threads - but it's lovely - I've seen the threads held with pins to keep the bobbins under control. Lots of concentration. Thanks for watching.

These pins are so lovely! I like the idea of using them as scarf pins. Your dogs were going were going to town lol!

Very nice stick pins Kelly. tfs I use glossy accents to glue my beads down.

I like glossy accents too - but I'm cheap when it comes to things that don't show - LOL.

i really enjoyed this! now i am excited to start collecting beads and making these....they are so expensive to buy already made.....you made my day! 😃

Great! That makes me very happy - just remember it's addicting and the collecting of beads and findings while cost effective one way becomes expensive in itself - I never know when to stop...LOL. TFW

Very cool, Kelly! I may experiment making some counting pins. If they were thin enough those super long pins could be used sort of as a grilling for anyone using a large frame or stitching in hand. Neat ideas in storage too! Happy Wednesday! 🙂❤️

My iPad must be hungry and have kabobing ideas. It changed gridding to grilling! Lol. Cheap entertainment is sometimes the side bonus in these wonderful electronic devices I suppose. Lol

LOL - sometimes I wish there was no spell check - but where would I be most times without it? I was thinking of trying it as a temporary grid line aid for those full coverage pieces - I can't imagine ever wanting to spend the time to stitch in a grid only to rip it out. ME = Lazy. TFW

I really enjoyed your video. Dogs too! Did you know that E6000 now comes in a frosty-clear plastic tube with a pointed spout? It is labeled Extreme Tack and it sits upright with the glue point down so gravity keeps it ready to go. Great glue! No mess like the original tube, and no bad odors! BTW, have you ever used a metal detector on your land? I can only imagine what you might find there! TFS!

Hi Louise - thank you so much for the nice comment. I haven't seen E600 sold that way - now I will have to look for it - sounds wonderful. My husband used to go out and look for things with a detector - he found lots of old nails and horseshoes and things like that - carriage bolts etc. I think I still have his metal detector somewhere. Have a great crafty day!

OMG!!! Thank you so very much....this video was very informative......it's so easy...I will be making some. Where can I get those very long pins? TFS

I have a homemade bulletin board made from fabric wrapped around a hard foam insulation panel. Right now I'm just using boring ol' quilting pins as push pins. But now that you've opened up this idea...look out:) Are you sure those are dogs making that sound in the background? You may have some Tasmanian devils lurking about!
@kellybellstitches33838 жыл бұрын
LOL - the dog making the biggest devil sound is a little maltese/chihuahua weighing in at 3 pounds - makes awful noise when he is playing believe it or not. Have fun with the stick pins - very addicting...TFW

What do you use for the bottom of the hat pins?
@kellybellstitches33837 жыл бұрын
I use either the rubber earring backs or lapel clutch pin covers. Hope that helps. Take care.

Hi where can I get these stick pins from.
@KellyBellcambridgegiftsbykelly6 жыл бұрын
Hi Rosina - I don't have a store right now but they are pretty easy to make - all of the supplies are available at any craft store or even at Walmart if you are in the US. I hope that helps. Hugs,

I've never made stickles - but I've mixed a little glitter with glossy accents and it's worked pretty well. Hope that helps -
