"I made it to the end without a fumble." I was almost beginning to think that was your 'youtube thing', like other content creators have their catchfrase. Lots of fun watching this, like all your other stuff.

Just finished making a set. Using needle nose pliers to make the dirt texture was brilliant. Thanks for sharing!

Simple and nice!Maybe... The next video can be the "seasonal terrain" you talked about?

When i add sand to stuff i like to use some isopropyl (80% or better) while the glue is still wet. This helps with the sand flaking off. Then i add some 50/50 glue and water.

Making horizontal cuts in the side of the rock with. A knife usually produces great pine bark, sedimentary rock results too if you want to go the extra mile ❤

@@StorycraftSociety I wonder if you could also get a good sedimentary rock effect by sandwiching lots of thin sheets of foam together; possibly using several different thicknesses of foam to vary the the sediment layers.

Hey Garmen! Random compliment, but I've been watching basically since the beginning and I'm just now noticing how great your teeth are 😬 Now relating to the video, I really like how you differentiated the dirt and stone texture on the sides of the stackers. I'm definitely going to incorporate that into the ones I've been working on recently

that looks so cool, could have used something like this when my players found a beach......"butt hole beach"......I did not know till after i described it that is what it looked like. But there was two ways out of it one was a cave....and the other was kind of a cliff-side aahh fun.

Could you flock the underside to allow for modulation of vegetation and season? Flip it for grasslands or drylands
@StorycraftSociety
@StorycraftSociety Жыл бұрын
So, simple answer: yes. More in depth answer. Unless you mix all your flock into your glue, which isn’t really meant for flat surfaces like that, more so creeping moss on the sides of stuff, you’re eventually gonna wear the flock off the piece that way. Even if you’re super careful, just the normal jostling is eventually going to take that flocking off. NOW, depending on your level of use and abuse, that could take 2 sessions, could take 20years! And if you think that the risk vs rewards ratio is appropriate, absolutely do it! But I personally, am lazy, and don’t wanna have to go back and remake something I already made once, ya know?

oh i really need something like this but not sure if i have enough space :/ considering the large amounts of other terrain i wanna make
@StorycraftSociety
@StorycraftSociety Жыл бұрын
Well, that’s a fair point. But my counter point would be, you have a lot of terrain you WANT to make, but have you made it? If not, why not make these for now, and if you ever run out of room/ don’t see much use in these, give them/throw them away.
