Are you using these memory techniques yourself? What are the main obstacles you're currently facing?
@hypereactivegbu15495 жыл бұрын
Do you make flashcards as you read your textbook/reference or do you make them after reading through all your resources? In our school, we’re not really given lecture notes and we have weekly exams covering around 200 pages of reading material. I find that making notes and flashcards take time and I generally end up not having enough time to go through them anymore 😔 How did you go about your ‘flashcard routines’? Lastly, I would greatly appreciate if you could give study tips and resources for specific med subjects.

I suggest a video on research projects (bachelor/ master thesis, papers, etc) You have many videos on study techniques and time management but nothing on research projects that are also part of University assessment. Not a med student but as a music student I've used mnemonics for remembering the number of flats or sharps in a key signature with sharps being Good Dogs And Even ButterFlieS Can Sing (G(1)D(2)A(3)E(4)B(5)F#(6)C#(7)) while flats are simply Fuh BEAD Guh Cuh (F(1)Bb(2)Eb(3)Ab(4)Db(5)Gb(6)Cb(7)) Being a music major is challenging, but since I'm studying music therapy I have an overlap of both music jargon and medical information which adds another level of challenge. I really enjoy these videos! Although not all apply to my situation, they've definitely helped me, especially the "Choose a Specialty" one because there are so many populations that MTs can work with it's important to have an idea of where and with whom you desire to work!

I have thought long and hard about this problem because i really didn't wanted to be sitting in one place and reading for exams for a month i wanted it to be more balanced and efficient in order to do other things that I'm passionate about and side hustle to keep my head above the water. What i have concluded personally and method that has worked for me is that i find a way to understand things bring logic even if it's weak and completely unnecessary just to remember things and it might seem like it is pretty stupid and this is gonna take much more time but hear me out. For example for anatomy i asked my self what sort of subject is it? and why is it ? And what sort of information is it? And answer can be summed up in a very simple question that is have you ever had to consciously remember how your best friend looks like or how your car looks like or how your cat looks like heck you might even know it down to the details. It's called visual knowledge and you don't have to put in a conscious effort to remember things like that because your brain has a pattern recognition for important stuff that you need to know so next time you wanna try studying anatomy try visualizing the muscle and try to think how it looks like and try to add more muscles and vessels and bones to that 3d model inside your head and you won't ever have to cram it again. Coming back to the problem that i think exists is teachers really don't have a pattern recognized for their subject and they don't help students find their own study pattern and make them think. Everyone says Medicine is less critical thinking and more memorizing well think of this why latisimus dorsi called latisimus dorsi ? Well ask yourself find it out and think of reasons why it would be named that and you won't forget it.

Fist you choose a bilden you know very well , to well at the point you can walk there whit eye's covered. Start whit your home, after get bigger like you school. sometimes you will need "construct" in your mind. you also can use Google view. but these is too far. starting whit your home, imagine you walking through the front door, once there, visualize the fornture in order like a clock and numbers. ex. at you left have a couch this is number one 1, at left of the couch have a window this is two 2, and go on. so, at the number 1 you put the image of somenting you need remember, let tell you are learning french, and you want remember how to say (good morning) in french , which is (bonjour) so, what you need is imagine a french person in the couch saying bonjour. if you put details which the human mind like to remember, it's will be better. like, fun, sex, scary, or disgust. the brain will remember things like this more faster. so in the example, instead of a normal french person, imagine she or he, ina a funny situation, like kissing your grandma, or a sexy situation, like naked. the thing is using this keys to do you brain remember the things, if you need things in sequence the place of memory is the best. good luck, and sorry my English.
