Timetoplay1337 This episode was based on Ted's sadness that he was alone. So, in his head, he recreated a scene from 5 years earlier (the Minnesota Title wave battle). Then, he was coming up with reasons why and why not to go to robots vs. wrestlers. The reason this episode was so sad was because it's a sobering feeling when you realize you are truly alone. It goes great with the first episode of season 9 because people are treating him differently because he doesn't have a date. Well this is just copied from Matt Buck (one comment above)

I love how shows get you more invested in every character by doing stuff like this. It really helps to make you feel the characters sadness. This episode is one of the reasons I was so put down by the ending. Because Ted had found the perfect girl and when she died I could only imagine he reverted back to this state.

Fun Fact: I haven't seen the finale. I've read summaries of it and like 4 synopses, but I have never and will never watch it. I am refusing to believe it happened. Seriously. I almost have the whole series on DVD, but even when I get all the seasons, I will never ever watch the last episode of this crazy, brilliant, wonderful show. This was my favorite episode for several reasons. The harmony is perfect. This episode is all about Ted being alone. It foreshadows the mom dying and shows how if he could. Ted would run to Tracy and spend the extra 45 days with her because he knows he's gonna lose her eventually and be alone again.

I'm still watching in 2021. It's so good I don't miss an episode. To be honest, I didn't watch this show/series when it was actually being showed for the first time. In fact I didn't even know this existed!! But about 2 1/2 years ago, I was at my mom's house and I was watching something on tv and this show came right after and I watched one episode and I've been hooked on it ever since.
