Hi guys! Did you know about the MEXT scholarship prior to this video? 🥰

You’re super lucky, I’ve always always wanted to go there since I was 14, even my whole family knows how much i want to leave the Philippines, my grandparents and my uncle experienced the outside world, I’ve always wanted to go to school in Japan but there’s nothing i could do, I even convinced them that I wanted to leave the Philippines but they said that it’s too difficult for me, now I’m almost 18 this January, I don’t know anymore, I didn’t get the chance to experience the Youth of Spring Autumn and Winter, I’m only a little positive because I believe in reincarnation, whether a new life a brand new memory and soul or a new memory, I’d get a chance that the other me from another life will get to experience that.

Hey, I'm still a little younger than you, currently turning 17, but that's also my dream so I thought I should say this. I really wish you reconsider it, I mean, I really don't know anything about you and your life, but if there's not much I know there's at least something you could do, if you already convinced your family you've actually done a lot, please don't throw all your effort in the trash. You say you didn't get the chance to experience the spring but you don't realize that just like a flower that is actually the time to you to blossom into an independent person, you're in the spring of your life right know and you shouldn't waste these opportunities, if not this year the next one if so the next, you can't give up until you have no options left. Now talking about material stuff, the scholarship would give and grant you almost everything you'd need, and the only thing It want for so is to you to make some efforts and be interested, enough to overcome stuff that you may find and have already found in your path. Regardless of the existence or not of reincarnation, I really think, and this is something I always say to myself, that instead of waiting for another life hoping it would be better than this one, we must work hard to make this one the best we could have. I'm not saying this to make you feel bad or anything, just trying to encourage you to fight for your dreams while you still can make them true,. As I said, I still young, but all my life until now I've been growing up with people that regret almost everything about their lives, and whenever you ask them, they will sure answer that's because they gave up on their dreams, and I really hope we don't have these regrets. I want you to know that I really wish you all the happiness, that I believe in your potencial and believe you can do it.

Hi Air! You have a great aspiration. You’re still young and there’s still a lot of things you can do to make your dreams work. I’m already 26 and still working myself out to go in my dream country. I know you can do it! You’re dedication is the key, trust your strengths, the rest I know you’ll figure it out. You can learn anything from scratch. Ganbatte!! 💪🏼

I'm currently applying for the MEXT Undergraduate scholarship for 2023. Almost have all the required documents as well. However, since I'm new to all this, I have a question. 1) How do you confirm whether or not you will take the First and Second Screening (Interviews and Written examination and MEXT respectively)? Do they call you or email you results/updates? 2) Should you start applying for a student visa for Japan only AFTER the final selection results in which you were successfully granted the scholarship or BEFORE knowing the final selection results? 3) Is boarding free? Do they pay for your boarding? (Dormitories and whatnot) Sorry if the questions are dumb, it's my first time applying for na international scholarship. Thank you and I hope you enjoy your stay in Japan! 😄

A completely random question here😅! but have you already applied for the MEXT Undergraduate scholarship or are you planning to apply in 2023?
@excorific22052 жыл бұрын
@@phantompack6079 I have already applied and have passed my application to the Japanese Embassy in Manila for MEXT 2023. Now I'll just have to wait if I pass the DOCUMENT SCREENING, which is the first step among the four others in the whole application process. :)

@@excorific2205 I just recently found out about the MEXT Undergraduate scholarship and just missed the deadline for the application form🥲. Have been wondering since I don't have really good grades from high school how important are your grades? do you need to have all only As and Bs or is it enough to just have passed your classes? And when you are filling out the application form the part where it says (language ability) does one need to know Japanese or is it there as an option. From your experience did you know any Japanese when you were applying for the (MEXT scholarship)? btw congratulations on passing the application😊 sorry for this long ass question 😅.
@excorific22052 жыл бұрын
@@phantompack6079 I guess grades are important. Get as high grades as you can. For the language ability, you don't really have to know Japanese since at the same time, they're going to let you learn Japanese for at least a year as part of your preparatory education. Having some knowledge of Japanese will give you an edge though and will get you a higher chance of getting picked! Yes, I have been learning Japanese for at least year now. I'm still learning but at least I have a bit of Japanese knowledge already. :)

Glad to stumble upon your video! 🥰 This made me so excited to go to Japan next year as an international student from PH! 🇵🇭 Do you mind if I ask a question? 🙂 Do you know where I can find an indoor pool in Tokyo? I swim for exercise and hobby and I want to continue doing laps once I get there. ❤️

Hi Sofia! Thank you for commenting :) Hm I think there's one in Yotsuya but from what Shogo tells me pools and public gyms are super strict you need to wear a swim cap etc and you have to have "workout shoes" one for the actual gym that you change into 😅

Hi, How about for undergrad students? Do we have to do a research proposal?
@angelicutie238227 күн бұрын
please how long does the scholarship procedure often last? I mean it often lasts 3 to 4 months or 1 year?

4:01 You don't know how to speak Nihongo? but doesn't the MEXT scholarship require a Japanese Language Proficiency Certificate for both undergrad and research students or it doesn't have to? I hope this gets a reply super soon so I apply immediately if I don't need that certificate anymore bc the deadline is May 26 this year and it's in barely a week naaaa!! ;~; edit: What if my graduation day will exceed the deadline of the application deadline? How can I submit a true certificate of graduation po? As for the recommendation letter po, inquire po ba ako sa principal ng school ko? Still hoping for speedy replies po, thank you!!
@alexandraliv112411 ай бұрын
hello! haven't experienced anything about mext but based on my research 1) you dont have to learn Nihongo as mext provides a one year intensive japanese course of studying their language and other compulsory subjects needed 2) if your graduation day is later than the deadline, you would need a prospective graduation certificate 3) and lastly po, recommendation letter can be from your principal or teacher Hope this helps!
