I'm currently studying for the LSAT and going to take it in April (hoping for a 173 without having to retake it. Arrogance and denial are a heady combination when you have 6 months until test time LOL). But I have been watching your law school videos and THANK you so much for posting. I was pre law in undergrad but decided to work for a few years (3 year gap) and really took the time to decide if law school is what I wanted. I was a bit overwhelmed by the application process taking literally two years and the costs and the colossal mountain of studying I'd need to do for the LSAT ( I just started studying and I am very very frightened). I just want to say your story is very inspirational and I am so glad you ended up where you wanted. It gives me a ton of hope!!

Best of luck on the LSAT and application process!!! I think about this a lot now that I am in my last year. I also took 2 years to study and do applications and that was just to get into school! It feels like I've been in school forever because of that so I am so excited to be done this year.

Of course! Hoping this helps others in their negotiations because it would be great if my experience could help anyone make law school more affordable

Of course! I hope it’s helpful. Some people from last year who saw my videos said this negotiation one helped them so I’m glad it has paid off for at least some people.

Thank you 🙏 yah dialing up a financial aid office (especially penn and Columbia who initially gave me $0) to ask for 6 figures was 🥴 but I’m glad I did it!

Thank you for posting this! I know many law students who had no idea you could even negotiate, it's such a bummer because people miss out on so much money without. I'm super hyped UCLA gave you so much. I also applied for the full-ride scholarship but didn't get it!
@tydieofficial2 жыл бұрын
Yah it’s a weird process and I don’t think many people are used to negotiating in this way. I’ve also seen it seems different from other grad programs but always helps to shoot your shot! I hope UCLA ends up giving you a bunch of money as well

I am a Bangladeshi student. How to apply for lqw school and get full fund covering tuition, living expenses etc.?
@ValentinaZujur Жыл бұрын
Hi! I just discovered your channel since I’m going to start studying for LSAT. Just wondering if you accept scholarship money how do you pay for other bills? Lol I’m planning on doing part time since I have to work.
@tydieofficial Жыл бұрын
Hello! It definitely depends on the person. Some people are fortunate enough to have their families pay for their expenses during school. My situation is a combination of having worked for 5 years and saving as much as I could for some expenses and also loans. Even with the scholarship I’m still taking out pretty substantial loans but there are other external scholarships you can try and apply for as well.

wait i missed it. is the COA the cost of attendance like your housing, food, etc? or is the COA all of that plus the yearly tuition?
@tydieofficial Жыл бұрын
Cost of attendance is tuition + any other expenses like housing, food, books, etc.

Do you know if HYS negotiates scholarships at all? If not, do most people qualify for need-based aid?
@tydieofficial2 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure HYS are all need based there is no merit based. Not sure if need is negotiable tho

I am sorry but you reference a 29 years old deadline, what is that?
@tydieofficial Жыл бұрын
It’s not necessarily a deadline and it differs school to school. Some law schools require your parents financial info (even if they aren’t providing financial assistance) until you are 29 years of age. So if you’re not sure if you need to provide it I’d call the financial aid at the school you’re interested in or attending and ask them.
