How I nurture imagination | Paint with me loose and inky watercolor florals florals

In life - I learnt that everything with a plan may not always go to plan. Even if I had a reference picture to paint from and the knowledge of how to paint - the painting always presents differently from what I had in mind.
Today, I want to share with you how I paint from imagination and why you should also practice this sometimes. Creativity to me is about stretching and expanding your muscle to play with what's in front of you.
It's time to nurture your inner child.

I too am an 80 something wc painter. I try other mediums but always go back to wc because it is so easy to paint for a while, rest, and continue. Jillian is a wonderful teacher.

Beautiful colors in this painting. I love the Ph Martens but find some of them so neon-like. They are really fun to use though.
