How I One-Tricked the new Samira Darkin Reroll Comp to Grandmaster | TFT Set 9.5 Comp Guide

EDIT (10/9/23): KZbin is still recommending this guide, which is fine, but I want to mention that there has been two full patches (about to be three) since this guide was released. One of those patches nerfed Samira by 10%. This comp is still viable, especially in lower elos, but it is much worse than it was before (stats wise it went from a 4.2 average comp to 4.7 or so). Also, the best build for Samira has been debated and you can easily go Blue Buff + Infinity Edge + Giant Slayer or BB + Healing Item + GS or BB + EoN + GS. I will agree with everyone and say that you're insanely gifted at explaining things. Only been playing since set 8 but that's by FAR the best comp guide i've seen. The explanation of your thought process is on point, not too long, but that's all we need. Aside from understanding how the comp works it also explains fundamentals of the game/set for newer players like me. The fact that you're not playing in the background and only explaining while showing units, items and positioning is perfect, we know what to focus on. If you keep making those kind of guide 30min max with the same quality I'm sure your channel will blow up. Keep up the great work!

got this recommende to me randomly. been struggling with the noxus reroll but this explains the comp really well and how to play it aggressively. tried your strategy verbatum per the video and have gone 4th > 7th > 1st. the 7th was just stupidly unlucky with Samiras early on and the 4th I played against a guy who had giga piltover cash out. the one time I get a relatively normal game I did not lose from 2-3 onward. legit finished the game with 86 health. I wouldn't even say I was high rolling. This comp is legit. definitely subbing for more.

i tried today this comp in the sump, hit samira 3* lvl 4, went to get a spat on the third carrousel and finished with samira/heimer/sion/morde/naafiri/swain/cassio/aatrox/darius, 7 noxus ! thanks, ur great for finding this comp, its busted and I had a lot of fun! 12 game winstreak in the end, samira is awesome...

Update, from final patch: Just hit Diamond IV in 4 games (2.5 average) forcing this comp. Got a 1st without Noxus Spat even! I think it's good for top 4ing because most of it is uncontested.

Back to share some stats! I 1 tricked Samira RR the last 20 games: 400lp, Gold 3 to Plat 3, 2.8 ave placement, nine 1sts, 15 top 4s, and zero 8ths.

@@Seagrade it's actually hard to tell because match history only shows final boards. I tried to be as fair as possible and only include matches with at least Noxus activated and with a Blue Buff slammed or Swain 2, or Nafiiri with Noxus spat etc. I counted a rank of 38 over 14 of the last 20 games, which is an average of 2.71. I'm contested nearly every game.

if it’s a full contest like they’re running the same exact board, then just go for it anyway and try to slow roll, there’s enough copies to at least get you 3sam

Why not build crownguard on Swain? It scales well with Swain and you can play CG,Redemp,Garg for tankiness and sustain or CG, DC, BV for just tankiness and damage.

Yes Edge of Night is especially good this set because of Rogues. It's just more sustain for Samira which she needs cause she can get one shot sometimes.

That and you want ideally 2 darkin items from aatrox and naafiri on her, which adds alot of damage. Meaning you really just want items that lets you survive and spam abilities with bonus damage.

Great guide man. I have tried this comp trice now and I can't get it to work. I just die before my comp gets strong and it seems to be simply because I'm constantly levels behind the others in the lobby. I got Samira 3 all those times but I got to Morde only once and that was when I was down at like 10hp. Something is wrong and I don't know what I'm missing.

I've never tried it, but I think radiant blue buff samira would literally be infinite spell cast loop...which means more naafiri weapon attacks

OK GUYS LISTEN UP... I otp'd this comp for 50 games in the last two weeks and went from gold to dia. Samira and Cassio get nerft slightly tomorrow which doesnt matter late game i think. Tips i can give are: Samira needs only blue buff. Edge of Night can come in clutch early game if ur Swain is mediocre. Give her Giant Slayer if u face tanky comps. Give her blue then do 3 Swain items most of the time. Put Gargoyles on Swain 100% of your games. Best itemization is Gargoyles, Redemption/Claw, Protectors. Then put Morde items together. Its totally fine to put 3 Nashors or 3 RFC on Morde. Dont give Samira a radiant item not even blue buff. Let it role into a Swain or Morde item. Any radiant ap item is broken on Morde. Its good to hit certain breakpoints early, for example 5 or 7 noxus. You are allowed to go under 50g especially if you defend your winstreak. Support items you put Cleaver on Samira or Naafiri. Zephir on any spare unit that doesnt get itemized. Virtue on any frontline except Swain. Randuins on Swain. If you have items left somehow and a 3 Star Cassio give her ap items (rarely happens). You NEED Aatrox and 7 Noxus to keep up with any hyper lategame comp. And even then its often not enough. Expect to go second to fourth 90% of ur games.

Do you itemize morde 2* or even 1* over naafiri 3*? and do you want to have 3 items on your swain before itemizing morde? Even with perfect rng hitting all my 3*'s at 4/2 I got beaten, even in stage 4 itself. Tried to force it for a few games now and find myself beaten after stage 3 a lot. I think my econ and adaptibility is decent so I suspect I itemize wrong.

He did say in the video that 1 star morde > naafiri 2 and maybe even 3 star samira, which implies that 1 star morde is not better than naafiri 3. So probably something like this: Morde 2 > naafiri 3 > morde 1/ samira 3 > naafiri 2
