Hey, Dara, you are literally the hidden gem of FB Media Buying! I'm super grateful for what you do! A few quick questions: 1. Would you say that DCA is more effective than classic "ad set > separate ads" for accounts with less than 5k spend? 2. I always find that a super simple campaign structure works best for small accounts (less than 5k). Like, no retargeting campaigns, no testing campaigns, just one prospecting campaign with 1-2 ad sets and 2-3 ads each (or 1 DCA). Or even 1 ad sets with 2 ads in case of a super small budget (less than 2k). Do you agree here? 3. Does it even make sense to use broad for accounts with micro budgets of less than 2k? Or in your opinion, it’s better to focus on interest stacks / LALs with less than 20 mil people in em? From Japan with love!
Dara you are the best FB advertiser on KZbin, thank you forever. I have a question in regards to advertising for a small granola company: What is the lowest budget you think could work for a conversion campaign right now? Experts who work at FB have told me we are wasting money with $12/day running the conversion objective, and that we should just do traffic. But still, most sales have come from $12/day conversion campaigns, as well as sales coming from leadform campaigns. Though I don't believe they are enough to either get out of the learning phase or to get a positive ROAS. I appreciate any feedback!

I sell higher priced prints of my art ($500-$1000 each) and spend up to $50 pd on ads. I would sell between 1-5 prints per week and its very difficult to decide what is working and not working. So far the main thing is restarting the campaigns at least once per week which boosts sales for whatever reason. If I let one sit for 2 weeks I get 1 weeks worth of sales. There really is so little data for me to work with that over time I've actually concluded less and less from my add testing. So I have no idea how I could scale lol I just want consistency tbh.
@harshjain83452 жыл бұрын
You should rather work on leads ..serious interested buyers would contact you.. and you would know that they r serious and commited about buying your art and you can personally get in touch with them to you know kinda convince them .. And running ads with leads as objective would be cheaper and will get you more traction... Obviously there would be calls that you'll have to manage but it's worth trying it.. there r people i know who do it.. and this model works really well for them

@@harshjain8345 oh my prints sell to people who don't contact me, they just buy through my website shop. My original works are 12k and those buyers will contact me. I don't advertise originals in fb ads. I had heard for a very long time that lead ads were a waste of time but I will look into them.

Worth adding that too many changes is going to disrupt the machine learning /AI. Think of high budget changes (20%+) which will most likely get your ads out of the learning phase, this costs time and therefore money.

Hello Dara, Thank you for your amazing content ! I have a question, for a brand new ecommerce ad account with literal 0 data and a small overall 1000$ budget , would you start things up with a traffic campaign to feed the pixel some data before starting conversion ads ? I know that going straight to conversions is the better choice but if the budget is small and limited, is there a threshold where a traffic campaign could somewhat benefit the conversion campaign initially ?
Thanks to your videos my team and I have gained a lot...A LOT of new knowledge that has given us the much needed confidence when engaging with new potential clients interested in this and other services we offer. How do you prevent and also get around fb bans??
@LiamMarketing Жыл бұрын
Hey, best method for preventing FB bans is to follow the policies they set out. Most notably no finance stuff, no crypto, no scammy-looking ads or websites. Verify your business manager by putting in your tax info and company info. Always create a backup business manager and ad accounts because sometimes facebook can fuck you for no reason

Hey Dara, How do we make sure the ads in our ad sets get some amount of equal spent. Is there a minimum spend limit at the ads level too? I feel FB starts to spend more on just one ad that is giving results but not a good ROAS so if any new creative is added it still keeps spending on the earlier one!
@LiamMarketing Жыл бұрын
Hey. I know exactly what you're talking about but 99% of the time facebook is getting it right with these situations and if you actually test this by duplicating your campaign and only running the ads that didn't get any spend, you'll see it for yourself.... (there is no min spend feature at ad level). If you make an ad that's genuinely better than the one getting all of the spend facebook reacts remarkably quickly. Try making variations on the ads that are working and dropping them in. If this still doesn't outperform your current best ad, try something completely different, totally out of the box. You will always find a better performing ad eventually.

Hey Dara! Do you use custom placements ratios or you only use 1 size? I'm asking because I'm curious if you're using the copy post ID method to keep the engagement. Thanks!
@LiamMarketing Жыл бұрын
Hey, the copy post ID method to keep engagement isn't as effective as you might think. You're best just testing creatives in your prospecting campaigns. If your ads are doing their job, people will engage anyway and purchase.... which does a lot more for the learnings on your account than post engagement. I would always recommend creating ads in 1:1 for feeds and 9:16 versions for stories. Hope that helps

@Dara Denney Curious if anything you do would be different for ads for course creators / evergreen webinar funnels? Those are the types of clients I work with mostly, not ecomm. I mostly run ads for webinar leads (prospecting) and then retargeting as well.

Dara, what do you do if you have a campaign with tons of creatives but Facebook only spends on ONE creative (which also happens to be winning) but then effectively doesn't even test any of your other creatives or give them a chance?

This is why you need a creative testing campaign where you throttle money to these creatives. Watch my video about account structure, I go over this in detail!

Hey nice content, you think a campain for 80 bucks daily getting 4 sales on the first 24 hours can scale further well? one thing thats bothering me is we have 3 creatives in that campain and the one creative thats creating all sales so far ( so facebook pumps most money in this creative) got a really bad ctr/cpc like 0,50 link click ctr. Creative 3 is creating the same amount of landing page views with only 500 impressions with a ctr of 2,5 to 3% and a cpc of 46 cent. I dont understand how this makes any sense to be honest. Why is the Creative that is statistically super bad generating all those sales and the one that is so good nothing....

Hi Dara, I'm using dynamic creatives in my ads. But Facebook spends most of the budget on one creative (out of 4-5). How do I stop this from happening? And how can I decide to scale/stop an ad if only one creative was pushed?

Thanks for the value Dara! is there any solution for a disabled account with “failed” ID confirmation? Campaigns still active but i can’t edit or run new ads
Hi Dara, When I do retargeting with a dynamic ad, most of the budget goes there, so I dont know if it makes sense to test new ads for the same ad set as the budget wont be used or test them in a different ad set. (but then will be putting them to compete). Thanks for the help
Hey Dara! Thank you for this one; really helpful. If you can help me here I'm not sure on what to do if Facebook decided to allocate the most of the budget to a certain creative where that creative had an expensive CPR compared to the others. (I have 5 ads in an ad set). Should I keep the ad on? or should I try to gamble that the other creatives will perform better?

Hi Dara, is the creative testing campaign just for testing video creatives or is it also for testing captions/ad copy?
@LiamMarketing Жыл бұрын
Best to test everything in the creative testing campaign. Ad copy, video ads, image ads, hooks etc. Though I'd say only use a testing campaign if you have the budget for it. If you're spending less than 5k per month just test in your main prospecting campaign. If you just test 3 ads at a time they should all get a chance to run. Once you've turned ads off and dropped below the 3 ads level drop in your new creatives but try to keep below 4.... maybe 5 creative per adset. Hope this helps

Hi Dara! Love your videos. Finally getting to try out what I'm learning on an account and your content helps me feel much more confident in my work. :) Question for you: If a client has high-ticket items (>$100 per product) and their budget isn't allowing ad sets to get out of learning due to the # of purchases being lower, should I ignore the fact that the ads are learning limited, or adjust the Conversion Event to something that isn't purchase (add to cart maybe?)
@LiamMarketing Жыл бұрын
Hey. As a general bit of advice, you should always optimise for purchase if that's your main goal. Don't worry about the learning phase and learning limited stuff, if your clients product is high ticket you would need a 5-10k min monthly budget to be hitting 50 optimisation events. Just focus on creative testing with broad audiences and optimise for the best CPC (most consistent and lowest cost). Hope that helps
