I'll have to add silverware drawers to the list of things I check thrift stores for. Great idea! I also keep my DMC on bobbins, but my fancy flosses and silks are on various floss drops and spools.

Your silverware chest is a great idea. I also bobbinate. I use a type of tackle box that I have used for years. Yours box is much prettier though. I enjoy your videos. Your stitching is beautiful.

That’s a great idea! I currently purchase what I need for a project. Since I am newer to cross stitch. I wondered how you stored your floss and what you meant by a master set. I started out with a knockoff floss away bag system for my project. Which is a Heaven and Earth designs full coverage piece. I had seen some use floss drops and I thought, what a mess that will be with 200 different colors! 😮so I went with the floss away type bags and I put the ones I need for the first few 10x10 blocks on a ring and have them out. I remember using floss away bags when I 1st started stitching. But when I found the bobbins I changed to them and have stayed with them after 40 yrs of stitching. Heaven and earth designs are beautiful but I'm intimidated by them. Have a great week❤️

Thanks Deana, great ideas! Silverware box is great. Working box for all projects is great idea for finding floss, my concern is different dye lot if long term project. It did happen to me with 221. New skein was noticeably different. Thoughts on how to avoid that? Thanks for sharing, happy stitching!

When I come across that in a project I have lots of extra floss so I will pull the color I need and make sure I'm using a matching dye lot. That was a good question. Thank you ❤️
