I guess it depends on the level of acceptance for mental health in your family/friends/peer groups. I’m lucky that for me, it’s just viewed as just a health issue, not judgement of me as an individual. Brain chemistry is complicated, so there is no shame in being pro-active. The best thing 😮is that your pals asked you what was going on. I’m so glad that you recognized your issue, shed the stigma & grew strong enough to share.

Thanks for sharing Joanna. It is not easy to share these things and I can appreciate your attitude and sensitivity to share this to the world. This life can be weird, challenging, and complex. Continue to be thankful for those things that keep you going. God is very interesting, while you're going through the stresses of life, there is victory at the end of all of it; troubles are only far a season in life. The solution is provided without us knowing it...anyway be encourage as you let your light shine all over the world. Mahalo! Peace and Blessings

Joanna, I do love you so much!!! Thank you so much for sharing your story… never thought you’d gone through the depression… I saw your reels on IG and loved your energy and confidence, which I always lack of! I always blamed of myself being so energyless and hopess these last two years and have been envious of confident people like you!! Anyways, long story short, thank you for sharing your story and no doubt you are so inspiring to people like me! Thank you and bless you! ♥️♥️

Hey Joanna I finally got around to watch this special video of yours. First I want to commend you for being vulnerable and sharing this message and your story. It takes courage to do that. I like what you said about the respect, of not telling another person's story. That definitely resonates with me. You really turned your pain and struggle into this new evolved version of yourself, and now you inspire others. I'm very proud of you. I can understand how suppressing your feelings can be hurtful. With that said, I know some days are still harder than others. I know that you have your challenges too and I resonate with you in that I feel like I was always taking care of other people and not taking care of myself too. It seems like your purpose is in a way to inspire others but now you have more awareness and stability within yourself which is not only good for you, but it shows in the messages and the energy that you create with your content. This is only the beginning of your story :). I wish well, and yeah you got this!

I’m confident the our late 20s is like this pivotal turning point where everything slowly falls into and shit starts to make sense. Quit my job at 29 bc my mental health was declining and I started binge eating which was the BIGGEST sign for me. Quitting with no plan was the best decision ever but definitely harder as an Asian being jobless when salary and job title defines our worth…
