Im just starting, and i really appreciate this video. I feel like painting the shadows in instead of just letting it accept the shadows from the natural light really makes it feel like it's a thing from another place. I have done everything so far with considering shadows. I think ill give it a try seems like a fun challenge

I'm very surprised how dark you went with the first base coat. I was expecting much closer to the mid tone, then shading down or highlighting up from there. Can you still see the zenithal shades through that dark coat?

What is the opacity of each of the skin layers? Are they semi translucent or are you just covering less area. I’m a little confused on the technique. To my eye it seems like painting opaque layer over opaque layer so I’m having difficult understanding what it causing the nice transitions and undertones to show through
