How I Painted Jesus’ Empty Tomb / Resurrection Landscape - Acrylic Painting

A step-by-step tutorial how to paint the empty tomb (and landscape) from Christ’s resurrection. Intermediate skill level is suggested.

11X14 flat panel canvas
Paints: (Liquitex Basics) Mars black, prussian blue hue, brilliant purple, brilliant blue, light blue permanent, medium magenta, titanium white (Ceramcoat) custard cream, charcoal, drizzled grey, (DecoArt) honey brown (Arteza) dreamy lemon yellow
Brushes: 1” tip flat, number 6, medium and large filbert, flat shader, medium fan, 3/8” and 1/8” deer foot, number 2 round

I just had to add to anyone viewing that I made a mistake during my ministry explaining who was at His crucifixion and resurrection. I confused Mary Magdalene as His aunt when she is not, although his mother, Mary has a sister but her name is Mary of Clopas. But Mary Magdalene was indeed at His death, burial and resurrection. Sorry for any confusion-the name Mary was super popular back then and there are a ton of Mary’s mentioned throughout the Bible! 😁

I see this was painted 2 years ago which makes this a God thing. I have a friend that will probably leave this world tonight from her husbands hand to Christ. I am grieving but I am also happy that her eyes will be seeing HIS. She will be in no more pain. I flipped through looking at pics to paint. I am more an abstract but this is where God guided me. I needed to see this in my sadness. Thank you for using your art for God. 💔❤️‍🩹❤️

Oh wow. Any loss is a hard loss but such a GREAT GAIN to be in the full glory and provision of God FOR REAL AND FOR ETERNITY!!! I’m so sorry for your grieving, and I’m glad God lead you to something that brought you joy and/or His peace. I’m highly considering to not continue to paint on YT anymore, my life is just a big mess and feel more driven to share God’s Word than I do painting, at least to keep painting private, only because painting for uploading has become so stressful that it’s robbing my joy. I was fairly new to sharing the Word at this point and so I hope that if you heard it, that it wasn’t too horrible, I know I misspoke about a couple things not being entirely sure and/or just confused. But sharing the Word has been more of a priority now on my channel and so I’m considering to switch to doing a podcast only. If that’s something that interests you, please be on the lookout for any news in me making any official announcements. But in the mean time, I hope there’s other things in my content that you enjoy-I myself have been dabbling in the abstract world and find it fascinating! Take care sister, God will soon have us all back together-this is not goodbye for your friend forever. ❤️

@@artandsoulwithheather if it is making you stressful maybe it’s time to quit posting although I will miss it. Maybe God is leading you into a different ministry. I just picked up pour painting during the pandemic. I do some realistic paint. I just give them away. Gotta tell you something funny. My husband went out with a new Christian to share the gospel. He said when they went into the house the man was a little hostile. The new Christian told him the gospel and got it out of sequence, while my husband freaked inside. But by the end of their visit this big man was on his knees crying and asking God for forgiveness. You did great, but even if you didn’t God knows your heart and maybe someone needed to hear it that way. Jesus told us to go tell the nations He didn’t tell us but don’t make a mistake. I don’t know what He is calling you to do but it sounds like you want to be in the center of His will. God will show you and make it very clear. 🙏🙏🙏

@@nancypeterson7708 thank you for that, what an excellent point I didn’t consider, you’re right, Jesus didn’t say go out and share my Word perfectly and so what a sense of relief. Let God do the growing in me and the listener ☺️ I got into pour painting late 2020, so I guess the year of the pandemic as well and still enjoy it. I really do feel lead into a different direction and so I’m going to see what God has in store for me. We move in 3 weeks so I know some of my stress is coming from that too, but once I’m settled in I’m looking forward to having more clarity and a sense of calmness. That’s amazing that man came to his knees, what a wonderful feeling to surrender! Thank you for reaching back out! I hope we’ll keep in touch 😊

I love Biblical pieces and want to do more, it’s so hard to choose because they all speak volumes to me but what’s also hard is how do I choose which ones so that it doesn’t make a beginner feel too intimidated to even try. I’m thinking about doing a jug of water turning into wine tho in the near future, but I’m also in transition from moving. I’m staying with my in-laws for a few months before we change military duty stations so a lot of my art supplies are in storage for the time being. But your words of encouragement are a blessing!! I will definitely keep doing pieces like these, they are more important anyway ❤️

Since this is an older video, I can’t readjust it, my editing software is SUPER basic and I’m not tech-y on top of that-kind of a bad mix 😖) and so I also thought of doing that, the 2 other reasons why I didn’t is for one, I have a toddler running around and so I am continuously interrupted and have to step away. And so I have to mute things and do a voice over so that my loud household is not taking away from the video. The other is that I’m trying to keep one’s attention span for at least 10 minutes. Most people have 100’s of people they follow and watch them too so I’m trying to keep them interested as best as possible. Trust me your concern has been mine too but I’m still trying to figure out how to meet the needs of people who want just an idea and something quick and people who want every step of the process understandably explained so they can get better or try for themselves and have a better chance of success all while being able to worship at the same time. I hope I was able to make sense of my “dilemma” I guess, but again thank you for reaching out and giving me your input, it’s dearly noted and much needed for future videos!
