Hi Jag I am an ACCA Member, I had passed Adv. Tax and Adv. Audit since I always planned to do ICAEW. I have more than 10 years of work experience, 4 years at EY Chartered Accountants. My Query: Based on my initial communication is ICAEW, I would be granted 12 papers exemption and would need to opt Advanced Level Exams. With all these details how much of time do you think I would have to dedicate for each exam ( I have 9 - 6 work hrs and married ), and last but not the least how difficult are ACA Advanced Level exams compared to ACCA Advanced Level exams?

I am having a question. Can we give this exams via self preparation or is it necessary to work with ICAEW approved employers ? Bit confused because I read that You'll also need to have 450 practical work experience days. So I think I am missing something due to which I am not able to decide my first step. Please help. Please clarify my doubt sister. Thanks in advance.

Hi, you would be able to sit the exams as an independent student but the ICAEW ACA qualification is more than just the 15 exams. There are other elements, one being the 450 practical work experience days you have mentioned. This would need to be with an authorised employer and is a necessary part of being ACA qualified.
