Great overview. I have been CCNA certified for 6 years now and work for a Huge Medical company that uses Cisco routers and switches. The attention to detail part you mentioned in the last part of the video is very important! So many times I have saved my own ass, because I stopped myself from rushing and making sure I knew what I was doing before going forward. If anything these tests help reinforce that. Thanks for the info, I am now studying for my ENCOR exam.

How difficult was it to get a job as a Cisco TAC engineer with the limited experience you have? Did you continue to work at Cisco after you got your CCNP or did a lot more doors open up once you got your CCNP. Breaking into the network game from helpdesk hasn’t been easy for me. Any advice would help
@AlexGrayTech3 жыл бұрын
Hey man, I got hired with limited experience in MSP work basically help desk for small businesses in my local area. All they really cared about was my degree though. If you have a bachelors, that’s all you need to get into Cisco. They hired a guy who had only an associates but his salary was lower. CCNP will open doors outside Cisco as far as recruiters go, but it did not help me with my tac job really at all outside of exposing me to route redistribution stuff and problems that come with that. I still work for Cisco on the data center route switch team but am evaluating my options internally and externally. Covid has messed everything up for everyone so don’t feel too bad. I went through 3 interviews to get in Cisco, one was in person but obviously that’s not how they do it now. Some of the new people they’ve hired in, I don’t think it’s very difficult to get a job with us lol. Technical Consulting Engineer is the title you want to look for, and if you have the option try for new grad positions.
@Reason_over_Dogma2 жыл бұрын
@@AlexGrayTech damn. Didn't know the bachelor's was that big of a deal. I gotta make sure I get mine done then. Sucks. because I hate school. Currently finishing up an as in networking. took a lateral move seeing I already had an associates. Not knowing I could go straight to a bachelor's.
