I started studying for the ENARSI a few days, and wow. I wish I could read and comprehend a book that quickly and easily. I mean come on man 3 weeks and you finished it and passed. I think you must have some of that high level savant going on. I'll be lucky to even be close in 3 months. Plus i have to spend a massive amount of time doing labs to retain the information. My memory sucks.

I'm halfway thru the book and the amount of typos it has is astounding. If someone hasn't gotten hands on experience with these topics or at least coming from pass studies, you can get thrown off and confused if you're not careful with these typos. The only good thing about it is that if you notice them right away, you're heading into the right direction, you know your stuff and can feel proud you've found ' em.

I passed my ENCOR exam about 3 months ago. I took a bit of a break and am starting to jump into the ENARSI. It took me several months of studying for that, it is incredible how fast you are getting these. I do feel like a LOT of the material is repeats from the old CCNA. The hard part for me is keeping my attention on the chapters that I've already done. Gj on that. Please do let us know how you proceed with the CCIE, that sounds like one hell of a journey.
@jeremiahwolfe2 жыл бұрын
Congrats on ENCOR and good luck with ENARSI! I did pass those tests quickly...BUT while I had been out of the industry for several years, I had previously been a senior network engineer so much of the material was still lodged in the depths my brain. Also, I was able to dedicate more time to studying than the average person. So, don't be too impressed. RE: CCIE - It's in progress. The birth of my son and his health complications completely destroyed all of my plans. (His 2nd birthday was a couple weeks ago.) It wasn't until ~August that I was finally able to get into a groove. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, I plan on sitting for the exam in 2023. HOPEFULLY before my ENCOR expires in May.

I don't have any more advice than what I share in the video. Read the book. Supplement with videos, if you need it. Use the Boson practice exams. If you have specific questions, feel free to ask, I'll try to help.

Hi, thanks your this upload. What do you think of the Pearson practice test that comes with the book? Did you use it?
@jeremiahwolfe4 жыл бұрын
I didn't use it. Many years ago I got seriously burned by relying on the practice exams that came with the book. (I can't remember exactly when or for what exam...may have even been a Microsoft exam.) Ever since then I just assume the "free" tools included with the book are garbage. I could be very wrong though.

Hey Buddy, Good Luck with your CCIE Studies. I saw it in your recent vid. Regarding ENARSI, At what point did you start using the boson? I passed my ENCOR today and used boson. But I started using it last week and I felt it was a short time. What is your take on that?
@jeremiahwolfe2 жыл бұрын
Congrats on passing ENCOR. It's a difficult exam. I'm not sure I understand your question regarding ENARSI. Are you talking about the practice exams or the router simulations? I usually read the book first. Then do labs. Then do practice exams. I do each practice exam 2 times. So, if my test is scheduled for Saturday, I'll do practice exam: A on Monday. (I take the practice exam. Review all the answers and explanations. ALL, not just the one's I got wrong. If I have any confusion I read up and maybe mock something up on EVE-NG to figure it out.) B on Tuesday. C on Wednesday. A & B on Thursday. C and any other review I feel I need on Friday. Then take the exam on Saturday. My week before the exam is usually my easiest study week (in terms of time spent studying).
@rackaraaron99862 жыл бұрын
@@jeremiahwolfe sorry for not being specific, but your answer is clear enough as I meant the exams as you explained in the video. I have bought the OCG for ENARSI and most likely I will follow the study guide of Nick Russo as I don't have so much experience and need to Lab and dive in deeper on almost every topic.
@leoingle2 жыл бұрын
Just found your channel tonight. I like your exam videos. When it comes to studying, I'm the opposite as you. I do better with training videos than reading a book. I did find your ritual of reading at night and video over the topics the next morning interesting. But I was wondering, since the video doesn't have as much detail as the book, I am thinking for someone like me who who does better with video that it may be better for me to watch video on said topics in the morning then read the more depth book topics on it late that night. Thoughts on that concept?
@jeremiahwolfe2 жыл бұрын
Whether it's book or videos, I recommend separating a topic by sleep. So... Video Topic 1 -> Sleep -> Book Topic 1 -> Video Topic 2 -> Sleep... etc. During sleep your brain is sorting and storing the new information. The next day when you revisit the same topic it is less taxing on your brain. (Perhaps it's just reinforcing new pathways instead of building from scratch.)
@leoingle2 жыл бұрын
@@jeremiahwolfe I see your logic behind that. Just gotta guage and see how long videos and reading takes. I obviously have more time in the evening rather than mornings.

Congratulations, and good luck for the ccie . I just wanna ask you , what do you think if i take the enarsi exam first because i feel it is easier than the encor . And i have no experience in it i am a student and want to get a cert to enter the field btw i got my ccna almost a year ago . And after working and gaining some experience i would go for the encor exam to take the ccnp certification
@jeremiahwolfe4 жыл бұрын
Now that it's been a couple of months, the ENCOR and ENARSI are kinda running together in my brain. That said you should be able to do ENARSI first. It builds on some of the things you learn in ENCOR however, so you will likely need to do some additional research outside of the Official Cert Guide. Good luck!

Good morning! What do you think about jncia !? Thanks 🙏
@jeremiahwolfe4 жыл бұрын
I haven't looked into it in depth, so I can't speak intelligently about it. That said, it is my intent to get at least my JNCIA after I complete (assuming I do) my CCIE. I used to work on low-end Juniper switches (4200s I think) and I hated the CLI. However, I heard that once you properly learn their CLI that it's actually really nice and even more intuitive than Cisco.
@buenosdiasgracias62194 жыл бұрын
Jeremiah Wolfe cool!!! Thanks for responding!! I think you’ll just need 1 week to study for it because you already know the CCNA basic Switching and Routing and they say that it is around 81 percent the same topics plus you are somehow extremely fast to learn!, I have heard that the difference is their CLI and their OS, I also wonder if the jobs are as well payed as CCNA because there are fewer JNCIA engineers out there than CCNA since it’s a less popular cert, it could be a cool tech to learn right!? If you ever take it please let us know it will be super cool to see what you say about it, Have a good day!!!!!!!!!👍 👍

I faced 3 simulations yesterday and I failed to pass; where can I practice to overcome that? Thanks
@jeremiahwolfe Жыл бұрын
Level 1 - Install EVE-NG and practice yourself. Level 2 - Get the simulator from Boson and practice. Level 3 - Get the book, CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure Foundation by Narbik Kocharians. Buy eBook or physical, whichever is cheaper. You will NOT be reading the actual book. -Make sure to download the available digital content (instructions are in the pre-chapter 1 portion of the book. Included in the digital files is Narbik's ~2500 page lab guide. It is AMAZING! It includes EVE-NG topologies for all the labs. His lab book explains concepts in detail and teaches you hands on. Narbik is unparalleled in Cisco education. -Use the 300-410 blueprint to help you figure out which labs to do and which to skip. -If you work through the labs a couple times, I promise that the ENARSI test will be a joke to you. Of note, you will need to acquire the switch/router images for EVE-NG on your own. It's not hard. Google is your friend.

I'm sorry. Boson makes amazing products. I've been using them for nearly 2 decades. I encourage you to purchase a legal copy. I recognize that depending on your situation that might be difficult, or even impossible. I'm sorry, but as much as I empathize with you, I don't have a solution for that. I will also say that over the past 8 years, I have sold digital goods online. Dealing with piracy was an unfortunate part of my business. Finding my hard work being given away for free (or worse, being charged for by someone else) was so disheartening. They were literally stealing from me and my family. So I'm probably not going to be the best person to ask for help pirating something.

Thanks Matthew. I did sign up for NetworkLessons when I started ENCOR. When I signed up I thought they had a full video course, but it turned out to be mostly just text based lessons. Since I already had the book I didn't see a lot of value in it. That was just my opinion and only about their ENCOR material. I may revisit them in the future.
