That was the only thing that took a while. I’d say about a month cos they are conducting background and security checks etc.

I wanted to ask, if one is currently working remotely for a Canadian company and have the employment letter but have worked for just a year and a few months, do they still need to request reference letter from their last job here in Nigeria and can one upload multiple job references? Another questing is, does one need to upload a proof of fund during the express entry registration or its only during the ITA phase? Thank you and looking forward to your feedback

If you want to claim that you worked in a previous role before the Canadian company then I’ll suggest you get a reference letter from the Nigerian company. If it’s not an experience you will be mentioning in your application (this is the Nigerian company) then you won’t need to get one. The proof of funds is only needed after you are given an ITA. Hope this helps

It's very difficult to get reference letters from past employers. It's like your begging and begging for them to send you one once you have left.

So you mean you own the company? I can’t say for that tbh . I only know of if you are working under a company. Evaluate your highest degree. Just your masters in this case ❤️

Yes that’s possible. They just have to write a letter that they are giving you the money without any obligations.
