I always forget to make me a study chart, like you see with a lot of botanical artists. I have not seen many of those in people more drawn to wildlife, but I am so geeking of joy now to actually see a study chart lol. Call it a sily tic. I hate to make m but loveee it when others take time to do so :P

Beautiful as always! It’s nice to see your planning stages as well...what you experiment with vs what you finally decide to use. I don’t know about anyone else but I’d love to see more...like more of your sketching process or maybe even a studio vlog where you talk through your planning swatch sheet for a project....some behind the scenes stuff would be really interesting.

This is a beautiful piece!! I do plan my colour choices ahead, and sometimes also practice a tricky part, on scrap paper. I keep these practice papers to remember which colours I used and what combinations worked well (or not...).
