EASY WATERCOLOUR effects and techniques for beginners | HEDGEHOG tutorial
Hi Guys!
Welcome back to another video!
In this tutorial I go through a variety of different watercolour techniques you can use to achieve some quick, easy and fun watercolour effects in your paintings;
1. Wet on Wet
2. Wet on dry
3. Dry brush
4. Cling film wrap (a really fun and easy way to create texture!)
5. Etching
6. Negative painting
7. Glazing
I really enjoyed painting this cute little hedgehog and I hope you find the tutorial interesting and useful whether you are just beginning in watercolour or are a bit more experienced. MT Washi tape
Frog Tape
Silver Black Velvet round paintbrushes (sizes 4,8,12)
White Prismacolor pencil
Watercolours:
(Olive green; Sap green; brown ochre; sepia; warm sepia; Van Dyke Brown; Payne's Blue gray; neutral tint; perm. magenta; burnt umber; mijello blue; winsor violet)

I often wonder what makes a channel or Artist blow-up ? Rin, Drawingwiffwaffles was at some 475k then boom 2.1 million subscribers. Her friend Kasey Golden an accomplished artist in her own right 1.1 million! I believe that you are as an artist who is as proficient as they! I follow Denise Soden and her channel has seen a growth as well 75k is a very respectable size that is more usual for an art channel. I am hopeful that you will experience the success that allows you to create your art as you desire to do. Your expertise is truly inspirational and so lovely, I enjoy watching your videos and I believe that you have a truly unique perspective on watercolor painting, I have really enjoyed this painting and your technique is so wonderful I hope to get back to this inspiring level again one day. HI mjpete! Sorry for my late reply to your lovely comment! It really gave me a much needed boost as things have been a bit crazy lately. I think channel growth depends as much on understanding algorithms and having a unique style and personality as it does being able to draw or paint, but I will continue to share my art journey as long as people enjoy watching my videos.
