I glad you brought up the kids aspect. Can you please make a video on how you used AI to help your kids in math? That would get a lot of views as the right kids video will blow up on KZbin. My kids are around your kids age. I tell others that for the first time in modern history, the idea of kids being whatever they want to be as long as their happy is over as parents need to figure out where the humanoid/AI revolution takes us. You have to tell the kids that they have to be into AI and Robotics to make it in the future.

I work in healthcare. Imo a huge disruption will happen. Beyond the obvious, techs in healthcare right now are created based on human limitations and how we make sense of data - through vision. Eg imaging (X-ray, mri, ultrasound, CT) - tech is created so that data is converted to info that radiologists eyes can make sense of. Same with histology or pathology, ECG, echocardiogram, endoscopy, cystoscopy and various tests where vision is needed. What if, doctors have “superhuman” sense, 6th sense that can directly tell what’s going on in someone’s body without needing to convert data into visual format first? Everything can be useful data to AI - flow of particles through different medium of the body, how molecules interact with each other, vibrations, sounds, density, temperature etc… things we human can’t possibly perceive. AI can already see hidden clues - can tell if patient is diabetic or not from an ECG! This will change how med technologies are made in the future and how tests are done. We may not need an hour in MRI machine to create images that human eyes can read, or EEG & nerve conduction studies to be made into patterns neurologist can see etc… AI can become our 6th sense. We may also have digital twins of ourselves, to predict or detect diseases early etc. It will be crazy

Optimus w/AI not only has application for business/industry, it can bring a dimension of Starwars (R2D2, C3PO) to domestic lifestyle, whereas not only can you have a personal assistant doing tasks, but it can accompany you (like in the movie) and potentially provide personal security as well (shades of Terminator! but, can be made friendly, impossible to turn on you…HAL: “hello Dave”😉) I agree, the imagination runs wild and the race to the starting line is going to be fierce and interesting to watch. If Elon thought he was under pressure and attack before, it’s going to be more intense for this to play out. Investing for sure!

I have a great many simple jobs on my farm, forestry, butchershop and construction which I would love to have AIbots to help with. They are to the skill level I need now. I would like them to be rugged, IP67, a bit stronger & faster than described - they need to keep up with me. At the often quoted $20k I would take three to start with. More later. Exciting times. AI, robots, knives, pitchforks and chainsaws! What could go wrong!?!

When it comes AI, the investing public tends to overestimate its immediate impact and underestimate longer term. We are more likely still at the hype phase. It also seems the AI bandwagon is already crowded... However, given the nature of high computation cost involved, big firms with deep pockets would just repeat winner takes all. I guess the kick is people are mostly aware of this, hence the immediate potential have been priced in. Thoughts?

I like Dave but I disagree with some of the propositions he makes. Yes AI will transform society immensely however the valuations of companies won’t go up by that much because off the competition between companies - for example my smartphone can a lot more now then it could 10 or 20 years ago buts it’s cost is about the same or cheaper even then it was then. Competition between companies will mean that the benefits to the consumer and society will be tremendous but profitability of most companies won’t shift much. Finding the AI winners won’t be easy - I suspect it will be the magnificent 7 who profit the most.

putting all your eggs into something is a very high risk strategy. its mostly ill advised. why do you do that? im not a very big fan of much diversification but some degree of it makes you sleep better. what if tesla starts to cook their books and goes enron? you never know. you can never rule it out. you should think about re-balance your portfolio.

I've been a fan of Tesla from the beginning, although I didn't buy stock at the time because no car company had been successful in the previous 100 years. I was rooting for Tesla but didn't want to risk what I had spent 10-15 years saving for retirement. I regret that non-buy every day. I somewhat realized my mistake in 2018 and 2019 and bought a little bit, but not enough to put me over seven figures USD currently. Then I woke up during the big run-up and got a bad case of FOMO. It finally made sense for me to go all in a few years ago, but I sit here along with many of you, with some wins and some losses, but all in TSLA. The prospect of another 10X is mind-blowing to me, not to mention a possible 20X or 30X. Some say that is Elon being a bit too optimistic with these statements, but it is actually reasonable given the magnitude of the AI transformations that will occur across multiple sectors. The best part is: it's not even a faith thing. You don't need faith to support Tesla. Faith is for people with no evidence (that's you, religious people). Tesla provides us with evidence every day. Tesla is not a religion and supporting Elon does not make us cultists. It merely puts the scientifically-minded among us at an advantage. Thank you to Dave and the rest of the Tesla community, to continue to speak the truth with rationality and honesty. Thank you to Elon who had the foresight and the means to make advancements in AI become a reality.
