I cheaped out and didn’t hire a coordinator and I regret it. I was on the verge of tears walking down the aisle from stress. A lady at the hotel was like “you need a shot” I literally downed tequila 10 seconds before walking down the aisle(AJ didn’t see) 😂 also I cried like a baby walking down the aisle (out of love not stress, maybe tequila??) 😭

When I got married the flowers were so expensive 😅 I really wasn’t going to waste money on flowers for one night!!! Loved this video! I swear the first florist I met with priced out JUST for flowers $10,000!!! Crazy! Great video!!! New subbie here:) and its for sure possibly to have a budget friendly wedding and it still be AMAZING!

Yes Megan! It is possible to have a budget friendly wedding and it being amazing! People love to go based on what's in this season and colors, but the truth is, that is all constantly changing, just like fashion, and it comes back and forth. So I think it's awesome when people break away from the typical and usual and do so based on what they want without breaking the bank! 👍

Thanks for the video! Loved it! What did you have for food from your caterer? All the quotes I got were $6000+ for a plated dinner 🤯 love the buffet idea

Wow that’s insane! The food was pretty generic because we had so many different dietary needs so we had a chicken dish, 2 different salads, steak, mac and cheese, shrimp etc. Just basic stuff that everyone enjoys 😊 I would look into that or maybe even food trucks - that could be really fun!

I think these are great ideas. I think the best tip is 1. Set a budget and find out what "in kind" contributions that are non monetary ie free photography, flower making, cake making, printing, music, entertainment, borrowing things without rental fees, flowers from garden (but don't rely heavily as you never know the growing season,) 2. The dress great tips but most brides are beautiful - slim (the joke is have a few kids and lose figure) so they make anything look good. USed, new, vintage whatever look at the clearance dresses,consider alterations and redesigns - how expensive is it to fix, alter, repair etc. Sometimes it can be a great deal even with repairs; other times repairs might be crazy ie a beaded dress can be very expensive to alter. Keep an open mind. Most brides have a vision especially about the dress but until y ou try it on you won't know. 3 put out on cue cards all the elements of your wedding iee invites to food to outfits to entertainment etc. Then rank them so y ou can figure out what is really important to you. ie a cake may not be a big deal Borrow accessories like wraps and veils. REuse recycle - often venues may be decorated for ie christmas and you may not need a lot of decor.

Its the per person cost my dear. She spent 375.00 per person. Look up what the average is in your state, the cost per person and not the total cost. Maine is relatively cheap compared to NJ or CO. Depending on your states average cost per person and what your total guest count is, 20K might be LOW like really low. PS I've owned an event rental company for the last 20 years and we provide rentals to between 800 and 1200 weddings a year.

My biggest regret is not spending the money on a wedding video 😩 they wanted 2,000 for just video and at the time I didn’t think it was worth it. Sorry for all the comments 😂

Just a tip. Pls close your bathroom/toilets when you make a video that is not related to the bathroom/toilet. We can see the toilet cause your bathroom door is open. I really liked your tips! Smart planning!

Waiting for it....waiting for it and it drops. 40 person wedding for 15K, that's 375.00 per person. Congratulations, you just spent more than the average wedding in the US. Don't hurt yourself patting yourself on the back.

Congratulations, you don't know how to do math, pat your back as hard as you can! Maybe your basic math skills will rearrange. The only real thing that guest count makes a difference on is food, drinks and venue (because it is based on guest count). Photographer, videographer and coordinator don't charge based on guests count silly, they do so based on hours. Do some homework on the subject before judging! And when you are able to plan a wedding for 15k, for 200+ people for all the things she mentioned, then you can come and advice everyone on your ideal wedding!

Agreed. For that price, and all the things she didn't include, that is not a good value. I don't live in the New England area so that may be a good value there but not where I live in the US.

@@jenniferlisow2901 As a guy working in the Event Rentals industry, I really don't care what people spend on their weddings. Some will go above the average, some below, that's all up to them if it's their money or how much pain the bank of dad is willing to take. What bugs the heck out of me are these people patting themselves on the back for doing nothing, expecting the world to sing their praises. What's frightening are the sycophants who congratulate them. Funny thing is, about 3/4ths of the gals who get into wedding planning are like her. Even funnier bit is, 25% of all wedding planners are utterly useless, 50% are near useless but they make a good paid friend and 25% are actually useful.
