I am 73 and Love you, your sister and your Mom! I've been praying Palms 91 Daily for all groups....Hospitals, Truck Drivers, Nursing Homes, Grocery Stores etc ...Indivduals....those who get it since this Virus started!! Little did I know I would have to put my nearly 96 yo Mom temporarily in a Nursing Home 5 wks ago after a Stroke! Praying to bring her Home Before Christmas!!! Praying for your whole Family!! Does my heart good to see sweet young Ladies LOVING JESUS and the Younger Generation Following You!!! Praying more will!! GOD BLESS IN JESUS NAME WITH LOVE & PRAYERS!!💕🙏🙋❤🛐 (I only have a Cellphone & use Caps for Emphasis or Respect)

WITHOUT our LORD'S Help I Couldn't sometimes make it thru!! Mom helped me for a few yrs first when I could barely walk!! I am SO BLESSED I still have her!!!! Right now Because of Covid19 ALL that is Allowed is to Stand Outside her Window & talk to her on my phone! I've cried as I Walked Away as it BREAKS my Heart💔 to Leave her there, but I Know they ARE Working to get Mom Home Again!!! We are very close & I talk to her several times a day!! When I read through the whole Bible for the first time I followed a plan that had me read one psalm each day and I would highly encourage reading a psalm a day! Or at least a few times a week. The psalms seriously are life for your spirit! They just refresh my soul!

Start off reading in the Book of John, but also read a Psalm then a Proverb for Wisdom. There are 31 Proverbs, one for each day of the month. Then read Matthew, Mark,Luke but keep reading the Psalm and Proverb each day. There is also a free bible online that you can get called ESword. You can get the strongs concordance for all the Hebrew and Greek words. That is my favorite.

Psalms has really got me through my uni semester too! What I did was I used my intuition to flip my Bible and go for the first number that comes to my mind (either the chapter or the verse no.) Praise be to the Lord for allowing us to have a copy of the Bible with His Words in them to make sure we are never alone and we can always go back to them. ❤️️

You should really look into Charles Spurgeon’s commentary on the Psalms. It has really helped me understand the Psalms better as well as understanding it in a more personal way!

I look forward to doing my bible study every morning. I didn't realize that spending time with God could be so much fun. I use to read my devotional and then my bible and take a few notes. God’s creation is so beautiful

Your video came up in my feed, and I am so glad it did. It really blessed me. I was amazed that you focused in particular on Psalm 8 which happens to be one of my favourites too. I agree with everything you have to say about it. Every time I am out in God's creation, and especially when I look up at the stars, I am "lost in wonder, love and praise" as the old hymn says. The fact that the Psalist (David) describes the creation of the heavens as "the work of Your fingers" has always made me think of His fingers working the intricacies, the fiddly bits, and creating the stars did not require that much effort on His part! Compare that with His deliverance of the Children of Israel from Egypt, which required His outstretched hand and His mighty arm!! It took the outstretched arms of Jesus on the Cross to achieve our redemption. In Gen. 1:16 there is that little throw-away phrase that never ceases to delight me, "He made the stars also." No big deal for God! Consider also Ps. 147:4: "He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name." When the Hubble Telescope was directed into the region of space known as the Hubble Deep Field, where they didn't think there was anything going on, countless new galaxies were revealed, hitherto completely unknown to man. This fact blows me away. We have no concept of the vastness of space, or the number of the stars, which all have individual names given by God, and yet He is "mindful of us" and "visits us." He LOVES us and sent His Son to die for us... "O Lord our Lord, how excellent is Your Name in all the earth." How can we say anything but "Amen" to that!

Don Whitney’s Praying the Bible (which is an excerpt from his book Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life) is so good and helpful for praying through the psalms. I still use his layout for Psalm of the Day. So so so helpful to realign my heart with who God is, and who I am in light of his character. 💜

The gospels, and I also recommend ACTs. I like the ESV journaling Bibles. You can buy them by the individual book, or a box set. The individual books cost around $5.99 on Amazon. It's easy to read, and the right side is blank for verse mapping and notes. Not to be an ad though. Nicki Drake from Crazy Simple Truth Minitries on KZbin introduces them to me.

The Bible is the prayer book. If we make a habit of praying through books, chapters, passages, etc we will find prayer time to no longer be a chore. We will find it to be a delight. We won't run out of things to pray about. Prayer becomes a two-way conversation. The revelation and understanding God will provide are amazing as she showed in this video. Best of all, God will let us drink and swim in his river of pleasure and eat from the fatness of his house (Psalms 36:8). Once we experience this, we become very jealous of our prayer time and make every effort to not let anything interfere with it. Why? Because we have tasted and seen the Lord is good and that is a taste that can only be had in one place, that is in his presence talking over his word with him.
