Since you're going to be 11 weeks post relaxer by the time you install your braids, when are you planning on getting a relaxer touch-up? Isn't that a lot of new growth? Are you able to manage 3+ months' worth of new growth?

I purposely want a lot of new growth because I need something strong to anchor the braids. Relaxed hair is fragile & in most cases thin. To me the more new growth the better to see the true benefits of a protective style. I don’t relax my hair at all in the summer. This is my hairs time to chill. The next time I relax will be in September which by them I will have plenty of new growth and it will be very easy for me to see to apply the relaxer.
