Hello Geddi, could you make a video on how to make cities or urban contexts for architecture. I've seen several videos on yt and most of them use BLENDER with different add-ons like Buildify for the random buildings and Osm for the terrain, although I haven't found a clear video on how to do it from scratch.

Hello Gediminas! Amazing tutorial, wish I discovered your channel earlier, amazing content through and through. In depth modelling would be really helpful, especially in regarding to what you use for grasshopper and what you would particularly use grasshopper for in your 3D modelling workflow. Hmm that's a pretty deep rabit hole to go to. Use of grasshopper in architecture is a bit scitzophrenic - in the academia there's so much discourse about it, so much research being done. Seems like everything will be done with GH in the future. But then you look at the industry - and it's a completely different picture. With the amount of buildings that are being built world wide each day - much less than 1/1000 has any implementation of GH. In my case - I'd say 1/5 projects that I do require grasshopper - sometimes for a fancy bench/wall, sometimes for solar study, but most often for floor skirting/window frame automatic generation/scheduling. No 7axis cnc milled high-performance ecological mycelium panels in a family house needed.

@@DesignGoBrr Ah I see, I guess only time will tell. I personally got through my interior architecture degree with a pure rihno skillset, but now that I am pursing set design which has more creative freedom, I have been looking more and more into grasshopper and its capabilities, just haven't been too sure. I appreciate the comprehensive and elaborative response :).

@@harisdesigns3833 oh yea, if you go for set/exhibition design - then theres definitely more opportunities to use GH creatively. Specially if you start looking into kinematics/interactive design

​​​@@DesignGoBrrI've learned a lot from your tutorials which I am eternally thankful. I don't own a tv so I play your tutorials in the background of my daily tasks. Learning subconsciously and feels relaxing. However what I wanted to say is, you are so right about the real life GH application. I currently live in Germany and I am working on Rhino but it is impossible for me to find a job, because almost no studio uses it. I thought I am late to learn GH and use it for design purposes but got surprised that it is not used widely as well. At the end I am a bit disappointed that Germans are very stiff when it comes to experimenting or giving a chance to a multidisciplinary designers like me. What a friend told me in the industry is, they want designer that do only one thing and nothing else, so that they are 100% sure if he does car body he will be good at it. But hey VW is going to bankruptcy soon so I don't know. I am not saying I am gonna save the car industry or the design scene but I feel very restricted clashing into old prejudices and judgement, at the same time I see "interns" or people without any knowledge getting manager positions 🤔

If rhino is there, what is the need of any other cad software. I think bricscad is a good try becoz it also have BIM features.

Rhino gets a bit slow with blocks/hatching/snapping when you have a lot of geometry in the viewport.
