Hey Jerry, thanks for the tips! I plan to get a battery tender at HF next week but, being on the coast, still hope to get rides in from time to time on the KPV150. Any chance you might produce some lube pointers? Maybe front forks, wheel bearings, etc.?

Excellent… Question, how cold does your garage get? Do I need to do this if mine stays about 40 degrees?
@herbiesgarage68126 күн бұрын
@@JimE.1 Thank you, my garage will be about the same temperature as it is outside because it’s not insulated. But honestly it’s more about leaving your bike dormant for too long without riding it. If you leave your bike sit for more than 2-3 weeks at a time it will need a battery maintainer. It’s always a good idea to change the oil too if you plan on leaving it sit for a long period of time. If you ride year round I wouldn’t worry about doing the procedure that I do.

Hey man what gas did you put in it when you first got it or recommend.
@herbiesgarage68113 күн бұрын
@@Haven_wayRBLX I usually use premium 92 or 93 octane, just don’t use anything below 87 octane

@ how about getting it to the gas station would regular gas that’s used in generators and lawn mowers work?
@herbiesgarage68112 күн бұрын
@ If you’re talking about 87 octane with ethanol, yes you can use that without problems if you want to. I just use premium because it’s not much more for the better grade since you’re only putting in a couple of gallons at a time.

@ what do they recommend in the owners manual? I’m getting the motorcycle tomorrow.
@herbiesgarage68112 күн бұрын
@ I believe it has a sticker on the tank when you get it, 87 octane or above

@@ChrisMoore-vv3qq I need to replace mine as well, I haven’t checked into it yet but I will be using an AGM battery most likely. When I do order one I can let you know which one if you like
