How I Print my Photos at Home

Hi Stephen. Thanks for your tutorial. Is i5 best to save/work the scans as a tiff file versus a jpeg?

I scan and save as tiff. It is possible to scan as a raw file in Silverfast but I haven’t played around with that yet.

Hi Stephen, why your set up for your print: 300DPI and Standart quality?? Is it better than 1440 DPI and Hight quality. Thanks

Possibly, it depends how you are looking at the image. The viewing distance is important to consider. I haven’t tried the higher dpi. 300 is suitable for pictures on the wall. Big sure about books.

Sorry to bother you but i do not know set my canon pixma pro1 for good results, my shadows are always so dark, best results which i achieved was when i allowed printing control to printer, but results is not so good as your print that i see in this video (i printing through photshop elements 11), could you advice me some tips? Thanks. 👍

Hi. Are you using ICC Profiles for your paper and is your monitor colour calibrated?

@@StephenMilner Yes, i used profiles from Canon, i hav enot calibrated monitor, but it is approximately ok (i check it with my mobile phones), but this is some other kind of problem.
