I use one these. Love it! I would add some threadlocker on all threads. They WILL vibrate loose.

That grinder does a great job. In my 3 yellow Euro buckets, in which I have been feeding with only coffee & worm chow for a while, I noticed a bunch of seedlings starting to grow. I suspect that I did not do a good enough job grinding up some of the bird seed & now I think it is beginning to grow. From now on I will take the time to make sure the finished product looks nice & fine just like yours :) Since some of my ingredients are nuts, they get really gooey and sticky when I grind it up - so I started applying diatomaceous earth as an anti-clumping agent.. and it works well. Is the limestone that you use also to prevent clumping?

Limestone works very nicely, adding some dry "dusty" ingredients definitely helps

Hi, can we use saw dust mixed in the worm chow instead of cardboard to balance the C:N ratio? should we pre-ferment the chow before putting it into the worm bin? some say that these dry foods are concentrates and produce heat and nasty smell which can kill the worms?"

Hello, yes you can use sawdust, just be careful because when moist it can be to compact and will not allow airflow. Cardboard would be fluffier and allow airflow. Worm chow can heat up and become rancid and can kill the worms, for this reason you have to use the right balanced formula, like mine. Best to feed smaller quantity and more often. I feed my reproduction bins, 2 to 3 times a week.

Здравейте северни червеи,имам нужда да разбера как се отразява добавянето на 30% захар към този микс от брашна??? В момента правя този експеримент,но ще отнеме време и моята водеща съставка е царевиченото мливо,овесът ми е доста по-назад...съотношението ми е 3 части царевица,2части ечемик и една част овес.Сложих и 30% захар но още не съм проверявал резултата(на 1 седмица ми е начинанието).Дано разполагате с добър преводач и ми разберете въпроса :)

Hello Svetomir. I do translate and I think I understand your question. I think that your recipe is good but my only concern is regarding the sugar, I think that 30% is little to much, I never tried high sugar composition, please let me know how this experiment is going.
