Thank you! This is so relatable..i just subscribed. Memorizing by reading out loud is just brilliant. You're reading, and at the same time you're hearing yourself read it..which is twice as more effective than just reading it in your mind. Also, the added benefit of not drifting away or falling asleep. We don't see much KZbinrs doing this now. In fact you're the first i'm coming across. Could you maybe think about doing a study with me style video sometime?

In the Philippines we need to study *8 subjects* and their exams is compressed in 1 month; 4 Sundays with 2 exams per Sunday where one is in the morning and the other in the afternoon. It’s the most difficult exam in the country and it wrecks you mentally, financially, physically, etc. I hope it’s easier and more efficient in other countries. And for anyone who wants to venture into law school - make sure you’re passionate and consistently discipled to *WANT* to become a lawyer.

@@fifireesha In Germany you do not take tests that require you to answers single questions or to quote facts. You have to apply a systemic approach to the subject/case. if there's one thing that helped me with examinations and preparing for such exams, it is this: making deductions. It not only demonstrates that you "know" the material, it indicates that you know how to think about the material in a critical way. also: 90 percent of what you study will, ultimately, be forgotten so focus only on the most important material.

Thanks a lot Cole! Ummm, yeh definitely will do a video with a bit more detail on how I got a TC - I want to do this with HR at Clifford Chance though so we can ask each other questions, as I think that will be really useful and a bit different to what other people have already done :)... But obviously have to wait until the end of lockdown for that! Then, as for the Cambridge interview, I have considered it, but this varies soooooo much between different subjects that to be honest I don't think it would be that useful! Plus, it was a long time ago for me, so I feel others are better placed to do this than I am! Thanks a lot though, and this has definitely prompted me to think about the TC video! Thanks a lot and good luck to you too :)

Interesting actually, I constantly explain concepts to an invisible third person in my head and my retention and quality of explication from that process is fantastic, but I for whatever reason never put the dots together to use it for law study. My school uses open book exams so I was first skeptical of whether this technique was a closed book technique (why remember all the details when you have a cheat sheet) but now I actually see great value in knowing and revising the information through that explanatory voice as an aid in application even if the materials are already right in front of you. I find that my writing muddies the point and confuses my answers because it becomes too complicated or I achieve to fit as much meaning in as possible while losing value as a cohesive argument which may be resolved by simplifying and creating logical connections through your suggested process of explaining the law to the ghosts in your walls. Cool vid.
