In this video you’ll see how I maintenance my locs. Shampoo, trim, locksmyth and style. I went from looking like I had a TWA (Teenie Weenie Afro) to pretty layered loc waves.
Products used in this video can be found on my booking site vagaro.com/kinhairitagesalon
Shampoo: Nubian kinks deep moisture
Conditioner: ShidaNatural’s moisturizing leave in
Oil: ShidaNatural’s healthy hair and scalp oil
Locing product: MyGel or MyMarlee Jam
Shine spray: KinHairitage shine in spray (smells amazing)
Foam wrap lotion: Nairobi or Jane Carters

Totally I'm going to try this over the weekend. My locs love to get the frizz at the roots. I dont mind it but sometimes want to make it a bit more with the loc.

Thank you for sharing your style of Re twisting your hair by loc smithing. I’m 6 months in with my locs and I’m going to try loc smithing to get the buds out. Also I never thought about trimming them either. That’s a good idea. Thank you 🙏🏽
@VickyShelton
@VickyShelton 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. Locsmything won't get the buds out because buds are part of the process but it will help to roll loose hairs around your locs, giving them a cleaner appearance. Im glad you learned something from this video.

Vicky, thanks for this informative video, your locs look healthy and they are so long and pretty. My question is how often should I deep condition. I used the grew conditioner about 5 weeks ago and its almost time for another wash in 2 weeks. Can I use the grew condition every time I wash? I don't want build up even though it is a thin conditioner, thank you!🙂
@VickyShelton

Hey Dee! When you come back to the salon, the steam treatment is now included in the loc maintenance service. While at home the Grew conditioner will be fine as long as its completely rinsed out. If you use the ShidaNaturals Moisturizing Spray daily, your locs should stay conditioned.

Heyyy, new subbie here question are you are doing a lite retwist, and how often do you do locsmithing?
@VickyShelton
@VickyShelton 4 жыл бұрын
Hi!!! Thank you for subscribing. For me, this is a full re-twist considering I don't re-twist often. I do more wash n gos with my locs. On my clients, on average, they come in every 4-6 weeks for loc maintenance. I locksmyth every time. Especially on locs in the beginning stages (baby-teen locs). I hope this helps.
