@Riskified My whole strategy now is to be very selective with the players I play, I only allow beginners and novices to play with me, also if a novice or beginner has a premium account, then I don't play with them too, because it can be someone's alternative account. What comes to the map or specific settings I don't think it really matters a lot. You just need to find the ones you're quite comfortable with, the ones with those you can basically win 100% of the time playing with rookies. To get back to the top 10 I was just simply playing on Classic map with manual set-up, fog of war, 60 seconds and balanced blitz. But it's really all about playing with novices/beginners only, haha
@Risk4Ever
@Risk4Ever 4 жыл бұрын
@Riskified The premium accounts have a wreath (or not sure what would be the best word to describe it) next to their avatar. For example look at chat heads in the first game, the only player who has a a wreath next to their avatar is me. While in the 2nd game, even 3 players have a wreath next to their avatar - me, yellow and purple, when the blue player doesn't have one, meaning that he doesn't have Premium.

Congrats on getting grandmaster in 24 games. Once I started following your account, I could do it in 100 games. As an FYI, the world record to get from novice to grandmaster is 21 games. So you were close to the world record, but not quite. Now you should go from novice to grandmaster using progressive cards.
@Risk4Ever
@Risk4Ever 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! 😎 Btw, how do you know that the record is 21 games? Is there any proof online? Oh, and I did some 6 player progressive card runs like one year ago, 31 games kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3WUk3WgYr2Zibc 30 games kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3nThZltZ9p1n5Y I think I should try doing them again, I assume 6 player progressive card games would be the best shot on trying to beat the 21 games record 🤔

I mean it’s reasonable.. you’re kind of smurfing in low lobbies which make winning easy. No hate, but that’s crazy how you can easily get to grandmaster rank in 24 games
@Risk4Ever
@Risk4Ever 3 жыл бұрын
All the lobbies in this run were hosted by me myself. Also I was limiting them to my own rank, meaning that only the same rank or higher rank opponents could join, for example when I reached the master rank - all the opponents were no lower ranked than the master rank. The risk ranking system is based on ELO points anyways, not a win rate or a win amount, meaning that if I had only played with novices/beginners, then it would have taken many more games to reach the grandmaster rank even with having no losses at all... Was the run luck based? Well, kinda yeah, in most of the games the players were suiciding on each other rather than on me, so definitely I've got extremely lucky over here. But the Risk is very luck based game in overall. However, the skill means a lot too. For the most of people it would be near impossible to come even close to my record playing 4 player fixed.
