ty for the review! i'm happy people are coming back / discovering our little game years later. i agree with your criticism at the end as well -- there's a fair amount of stuff i'd do differently for the art at this point, but currently it's better for me to focus on new projects.

This is a fantastic review, I totally agree with pretty much everything you said even though I haven't played much of this new version. One thing I'll add is that the custom bullet colors are too dark! They need that bright white center that the normal colors have in addition to the custom color adjustment

@@AKTANEARCADE oooh that's a good point. i was trying to make ones with bright centers and i couldn't. thanks for watching man

Great review, dude! I'll wait til the sale ends to grab it. Gotta encourage these indie devs with as much monetary support as I can! STG NEVER DIE =)

Picked up Blue Revolver a couple months ago after getting interested in SHMUP games. It is my favorite of the few I have tried. Been playing it on and off since then taking my time to learn it, aiming for a 1CC. I got really used to using Mae’s follow type, it felt like it did more damage compared to the others when all the shots were lined up on the same target. Now that I don’t have it I am having to rethink how I approach the game, which is probably for the better since I am still relatively new to the genre.

Thanks for dropping this! I didn’t know about the update but I’ve had my eye on this game for a while, so the update and the game being on sale right now got me to pull the trigger. Looking forward to mastering this one. Would you recommend starting with the pre-update version or should I just jump right into Double Action?

Great review Des! I had only just started messing with Blue Revolver when the DA beta was announced… so you think it’s still worth playing the original or should new players just jump into Double Action?

@@SpidersSTG just jump into double action, thankfully you can switch the rule set to classic if you want an experience close to the original. :) thx for watching!

I just got my first Hyper clear. I’m kinda addicted to this game. Taking a break from Ketsui because that game has been bullying me hah. I’m about to start trying the hardest mode…I’m guessing scoring is super important for those extends cause I think in Parallel mode the first extend is at like 40K haha. So insane. Loving it so far. Dunno if I’ll get the Parallel clear but I’m gonna try it.
@desmaku872 ай бұрын
congrats on the hyper clear. what ship and weapon did you use? parallel is rough but you'll learn a lot from the struggle. :)
