Mori, I appreciate your being so transparent. I appreciate the diversity in your content. I am studying Japanese, and I look forward to videos that show what resources are working for you, etc. However, I love Japan (I took my first trip there in March of this year.), and I love seeing places you have the opportunity to visit. I enjoy the vlogs where you share your daily life as well. IF asking for opinions, if it is too stressful to create and manage two different KZbin channels(Life of Mori and Study with Mori), I say, leave it as it is. Yes, you want subscribers, but as you have said, your health and mental wellness come first. Please continue to make content. ☺

I often go back and re-watch your videos to refresh my memory, because sometimes I feel like I need to re-work my self-studying. Hi Mori, your studying videos have propelled me to self study more this year. Yes I was originally here for that however I have also enjoyed your other videos. It's motivating seeing you in Japan hanging out with people cause I can kinda see myself doing that if I continue. As for the idea of a second channel? I'm not so sure but who knows it could help seperate those types of videos but personally I would prefer both types under this channel. So thank you for inadvertedly helping my drive and please don't pressure yourself to make videos you can't do as take care of yourself.

hi Mori! I also believe that feeling the pressure to make consistent Japanese study/language learning material can be straining, especially when your original intention was to share your life in Japan. I feel like the magic of Japanese, or any language really, is that it allows you to discover a whole culture, the people there, their traditions. But we can get so caught up in the process of getting there and focusing on the sole act of studying the language, finding the right textbooks, the right study method - that the magic can be lost and we lose our motivation to learn Japanese in the first place. i completely understand your decision not to focus solely on language study videos but to take the journey one step at a time. Whatever content you feel happiest making, i believe we will also enjoy it very much! thank you for sharing this video🤍

Hiya Mori! I love watching your videos and look forward to your Japan life videos. Are you thinking of covering things/places not normally shown? I love finding out more about the Japanese culture and think your idea will be very interesting to see and watch. You could make a separate channel for the language learning portion and keep this channel for the life videos. I think that makes perfect sense. Anyway, keep up the amazing work and I look forward to what you post in the future. がんばって

I never ring the bell button but I will for my filipina-otaku-panda friend in japan😅 as your new filipina fan/study buddy please dont start the second channel until your really ready and You want it. And lastly, please don’t stress and put pressure on yourself! Trust me, you are doing great with the KZbin content! Your videos really inspire us regarding the fact that, if we work hard, we can definitely achieve our goals! And also, you putting videos of travelling to places in Japan, makes your channel more interesting! You know why? Hi Mori!! Self-studying is really hard and like you said, to be whit a teacher on a classroom is amazing but sometimes not affordable to our pockets, I am learning English, so, sorry if there are some mistakes on my grammar, but I just start studying japanease by myself, which is really difficult, but ever since I was young I had this dream of traveling to japan, It might take me 5 years to be able to afford a trip to japan, but I keep motivating myself on learning the language. Please keep shearing your tips, and whatever you like to share it will be appreciated, it has to be something you enjoy sharing.

When you talked about not being able to afford going back to language school, that really hit me hard. I desperately want to go to Japan like you have and study the language at a language school, but money is really difficult, for a number of reasons. I also heavily relate to needing a lot of motivation to do anything, especially self study. I would appreciate if you made a video detailing how you manage to motivate yourself to study. Back to the financial situation though, I immediately thought, after hearing that, that we, your Morivators, need to get your videos boosted and all that so you can start making more money! Not necessarily for language school, but mainly so that you don't have to worry about anything. To be honest, I got kind of scared when you said "my financial situation". I don't want you to have to leave Japan because you can't afford it :c I hope, that with everyone's help, you'll be able to live comfortably and study and work worry-free in Japan for as long as you want! I can't wait to see what videos you post, whether they're study videos or lifestyle videos (both of which I absolutely, so please do what YOU love). Until next time!

First of all (and as the meme said) "everybody makes mistakes", I think there is no one who doesn't make mistakes, so you have to enjoy the learning process, even if we make mistakes, because in my opinion, even seeing what others make mistakes helps both parties to learn, the person who makes a mistake learns from that mistake and the person who notices the mistake remembers it so he/she doesn't fall into that mistake, so I think it's a "good example" to see someone else make a mistake, because you also learn from that mistake. In another topic, in my case, I have a level close to N4 and my understanding of the Japanese language is still very limited, however, because I belong to a Japanese association in my country, the people in charge (obviously Japanese people), proposed to me to teach basic Japanese to children, and in my perception I'm not qualified for something like that, however they told me that if all that "materialized", they would support me to teach those classes, in any case, if that proposal "materializes", I want to support them as much as possible according to my abilities and skills with the language. The point I want to get to is that maybe you are capable of teaching Japanese to others, but I also understand that having a "title" like 「先生」carries a very big responsibility, so on that side, your way of thinking is so right.

Thanks for sharing this video Mori! I’m Miejie and I’m not sure if you remember my comments before that it’s you who inspired me to create my own KZbin channel. I decided to create my channel so I can document my language learning journey (road to polyglot). My channel’s focus is more on study sessions and language learning vlogs with the intention of teaching Japanese and other foreign languages as well in the near future. I definitely could relate to the pressure since I am not yet fluent. But like what you’ve said, I agree that it’s more important to enjoy the process. ଘ(੭*ˊᵕˋ)੭* ੈ♡‧₊˚ I also love to do other vlogs so I’m also thinking if I should create a separate channel like yours, so I find it really amusing when you’re also thinking of creating a separate channel like mine. How long did it take you to prepare for the each JLPT tests ? ..... And Is JLPT N2 is necessary even if you eligible to communicate in Japanese ? ..... : ) ...
@michaelreyes2287
@michaelreyes2287 Жыл бұрын
The JLPTs are usually held 2x per year, so that give you roughly 6 months to study for it... However, the higher you go, the more content you have to study for. Don't even get me started with the kanjis. The number of kanjis you have to memorize practically doubles every time you go up a level. N2 level is usually required by businesses. I personally think that you're gold if you got an N4 level. Since N5 teaches you basic Japanese, and N4 says that you can communicate in Japanese for most everyday conversations, but the conversation has to be slow. If you're at N3 level, you're speaking/listening at a much faster speed and can hold more meaningfull conversations.

I agree with everything Michael said with the previous comment. 6 months of intense studying is usually enough before taking the JLPT but it still depends on your study methods and progress. There are a lot of foreign people living here who can speak Japanese fluently without JLPT N2. So unless you plan to apply in an office/business setting in Japan, you will be able to communicate using the basics even without the N2 level. Best of luck on your study journey! ❤
