I was doing a game a week as a project and this game jam, Ludum Dare, was happening just as i ended my second week. this video picks up on that story from part 1 to explain how the game jam went and what you can learn about finishing during a game jam.

I was also in Ludum Dare 51! Completely agree with what you said about the theme, it was great but SO HARD to do something really creative with it. We were a team of 5-6 people so we had 72h for the Jam. Second Jam for us, also second game we ever worked on individually and as a team. SO stressful, heart racing to submit last minute but damn it's such a good, learning experience. Also we did make it in time! And were rather proud of what we were able to make too, even if we had to cut so much content out. In the end I also partecipated in LD52 which ended literally yesterday, although with different people. You're 100% right in saying that even if you have little experience, when you're in a Jam *every* little thing you already know how to do counts, even if you weren't able to do anything particularly good with it before.

Congrats! Ludum Dare is something I've wanted to do but I know there is just no way I could do it in that crunch of a time. Last year I entered a 10 day game jam, but I got similar revelations as you. It was absolutely amazing just how much I could do in such a short time. And it was really great getting real feedback and comments (both good and bad) from people on a game that I created.

Bravo, congrats. Also something that I haven't dared myself to do is get into a GameJam... Maybe because then it would be real? I don't know; that's my goal as soon as I get a few little projects finished, I will be then at least enough to participate...
