Thank you so much for this exposition. I will like to ask what are the things I need to or start doing to be better positioned for this Visa. I have a first and second degree in Computer science, currently work in a bank as a market risk analyst, not so much of a coder, (python, intermediate) but I just joined an online school for Data Science certification. Hello Bigdave, Thank you for your comment. It looks like you've got a business skill but you are not working for a ''product led digital technology company'' so your experience will not qualify to apply for the Technation Visa. You will still have to show your contribution to working in tech even after you have completed your data science certification. I will advise that you go on Technation's website and look at the criteria and requirements to better position yourself to apply in the near future. I wish you all the best.

I know it's expensive. I used the 1-2-1 package. There are cheaper options as well but I will advise that you do a lot of research before deciding if you need help. You never can tell, you may just be able to do it yourself.

I found my coach online. She is not an immigration lawyer though. She got the global talent visa some years ago and has been guiding people who are trying to apply for the same visa. I will advise that you should only consider a coach after you have done your research and looked at the requirements for the visa. If you then think that you need help then engage a coach.

I saw on the global talent visa that if you have an eligible award you don't have to be endorsed. But in the website i saw some qualifying prizes but is it a most you must get a qualifying prizes from that awarding body listed on the tech website or if you have prize from any organisation we can still use it? Because i do have a prize that is from another organisation in engineering but not under the awarding body listed in the global talent visa awarding prizes. That is why am asking

As far as I know, you need an endorsement to get the UK Global Talent Visa. Some applications may be fast tracked but you still need to be endorsed by an appropriate body. Awards/prizes from external organisations other than your employer can be used to support your application.

You can check the requirements for the Global talent visa under the arts Council which is where everything art related is assessed.

I Want Technation visa because I am a creative director , and fashion tech owner . Though it is still in the start up phase , It is one for the future . I have always felt like fashion and tech are two industries that can create magic . we are trying to create a seamless synergy between the craftsmanship of fashion and utility of modern technology .
