Very helpful to me, especially considering it looks like we have similar skin tone and eye color! I've been having such a hard time trying to figure out what colors would look best on me and make my eyes pop, and this tone is beautiful on you!!

I’ve also had it really help clients (and even myself sometimes) when wanting to find the level is to take a pic of the level finder swatches or the one you believe to be closest right next to a piece of their hair and then make it black and white. At that point, the tone doesn’t play a factor in tricking the eye & you can usually clearly see the level of lift. This was a game changer for me ! ❤️👍🏻

I coloured my hair twice with two different store bought dyes. Both were aiming to be blond, one was an ash blonde, the other was a beige blond. However as you probably already know, it was a spectacular failure. Not only did my hair not become blond, but instead it pulled so much brassiness into my hair,I hated it. So I watched,multiple videos on how to remove the brasiness. I went to a beauty supply place and purchased Wella permanent, not Demi colour in beige blond along with 10% hydrogen peroxide and some Wella cool tone in violet, I mixed it all together. After washing it off. It did absolutely nothing. My hair remained brassy! What did I do wrong?? My natural colour is brown with grey roots. I’ve always been a blond. But I stopped going to my hairdresser bc I just did my roots myself. But now I’ve really screwed up and I dont know how to fix it. Please help, should I buy darker colour toner and continue to dye my whole head with a mixture that includes 10% peroxide? Or Do I bleach my whole hair with 20- 30% peroxide first and then add ash blonde toner mixed in with it? How does this work.? Frustrated😒

Heyyy love your videos! I need some hellpppp pplease! So my hair looks just like your "before".. I already have several different wella toners, but not the color you have. Could I use one of these and get a similar result: T10, T15, or T27? These are what I have i can't get something different right now. So if you could help. That'd be great. Oh and which developer to go with, if different from what you suggest in the video

This video is great. We have the same color hair and the same reddish/brassy issues.. even happens with sun. What color or color mixture would you suggest in the Wella color charm Demi line since I am not a pro I can’t get that line (I don’t think I can anyway). That line doesn’t have a 5 ash was thinking of combining 4n or 5N with 8a for the Ash But wasn’t sure.

I know this was a year ago but i desperately need help with my hair. A year ago I dyed my naturally dark brown hair a medium/light chocolate brown with box dye 💀. I HATED that brown so I dyed it a 2 darkest brown. The dark brown faded very quickly and I’ve just been dying it again and again a dark brown. Now I have redish orange undertones so I decided to use a blue shampoo .. the blue shampoo didn’t work very well and it looks like my hair got lighter and I have orange and red everywhere. I don’t know what to do. I want to go back to my natural color but I doubt I would be able to now .. 😞

My natural hair is a 5. I have my whole head done once a year and roots a few times a year as have a few greys. My hair fades alot throughout the year and i prefer the colour once its faded a bit. I have just had my whole head re done level 5 but i feel my ends are too dark. Any advice on what i should i ask for when i get it done next year so its not so dark on the ends? She did my roots first for 20 mins then my ends and left it on another 20 mins.

Is it possible to tone down reddish or faded color without going much darker? Or would you have to lift it up higher first? I want to keep my hair at a 7. It is already damaged and fragile so I don't want to lift it further (that's also a bit complicated for me) so I'm not sure how to maintain it when it gets faded and goes orange. Any demi permanent I add seems to darken it to a 6 which is not what I'm looking for.
@styledbysamvay3 жыл бұрын
Cooler tones will always look darker, so while yes, you can neutralize a brassy level 7 and still keep it at the same level technically, but it will look darker. So yeah, you would have to lift a bit more, but if your hair is already damaged, I would leave it alone and not lighten it anymore.

I wish you would explain your videos in more laymen's terms. I've gone to a professional all my life but with inflation at an all time high, that isn't an option right now. My hair dilemma is the same as yours in this video, but you explain as if your audience are experts. I've watched other videos where the person explains it in steps e.g. Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. and then they leave links for what to buy. But those videos are not the color I am trying to achieve. I still subscribed and liked your video because I do like your channel overall.

Hi Sam thanks for this video! I was just wondering if you maybe could help me. I love my hair color in certain lightings, but when I stand under a yellow light or bright sunlight my hair shifts VERY red. I had a redish brown color before (I think it was 4/77) and then decided I wanted to go a darker cooler brown to get rid of the red. I got the wella color touch in 4/0 as recommended by a hairstylist but it didn’t hide the red undertone as I now understand from your video that I needed a cooler tone brown. Do you think I could use the same one you’re using in this video? Or do you maybe have another wella color touch recommendation to make my hair a cooler tone?

@@リリ-p4v don’t do it! It turned out blackish purple I hated it so much I had to buy color oops lol. Maybe it will turn out better if you use the one she had in the video (I used one shade darker, wella 4/71) but I did some research after I dyed it and it seems like the best bet would’ve been to use a brunette toner with green undertones, matrix has one called dark envy mask, or even using a few drops of semi permanent green hair dye and mixing it with a semi permanent brown shade to cancel out the red. Even though it will wash out faster than demi color I feel like it’s safer than ending up with black purplish hair lol I hope this helps!

My hair was just professionally highlighted last Friday and I hate it. I wanted to be rich, cool chocolate. Teased and not so close to the scalp. They were very caramel and orange, some parts kinda blonde but not happy about them at all and the demarcation lines are bad. Stylist had amazing reviews but 🤷🏽♀️. I’m a brunette and I haven’t had a good experience ev I used this same color and brand (5/71) and my hair looks black and the highlights are super red 😭. I would love some advice as to what I can do? I want a cool rich brown that looks barely sun kissed and lived in with some dimension. Wish the highlights looked cooler. I’m going to stick to my natural hair and avoid stylists but I could use help here.
