How I replaced the Mazda CX7 Rear wheel bearing on a All wheel drive diy

Had to replace the rear wheel bearings on our 2007 Mazda CX7 All Wheel drive

how many km did that car travel? was there too much noise in the cabin due to faulty wheel bearings?my cx 7' has 170 tkm and it's noisy at the rear end, for now I can't locate which bearing the noise is coming from.

When i changed them it would of be about 260km

Why not loosen the upper and lower wishbone, to pull out the driveshaft completely? Removing and re-torquing these 4 Torx screws this way includes some risk to damage the cog ring. I mean these ones look pretty solid, but especially on newer cars these are more fragile and you can get all sorts of trouble with ABS, ESP and iTPMS systems, that may be expensive in diagnose and repair.

Very informative video, thanks. I'll do this soon on my CX7 also. Question: while changing the rear hub, i need to change the drive shaft seal on the diff too, which is leaking a bit. Is there anything particular i need to think about when doing this? Can i simply pull out the drive shaft from the differential like when doing a FWD drive shaft? Best regards, Paul

I would say so the only difference would be AWD to FWD with no drive shaft

You can try but i found the abs ring to interfere with the socket
