Hi Katie. You could try the blue painter's tape. It's easier to deal with as far as the sticky part goes. It's a little more expensive but you won't use much each time. A large roll will last you a very long time. Thanks for all your tips.

Thanks for the tape idea. I use an empty clear UV nail polish bottle and put my resin in the empty bottle. I find the nail polish brush works great for applying resin. Thanks for your informative videos!

I use acetone to clean my brushes followed by a spray of alcohol and they’re like brand new.

New Subbie here. You asked how to clean the brush after resining yourpieces, I use Hand Sanitizer as it contains 65% alcohol onto a wet wipe scrub the brush well into the sanitizer and then kitchen roll when it has had a good scrub. it will dry nicely and I don't have to put it in a drawer it goes into my holder pot till next time. I am new to resin but that was the first thing I tried and found it worked really well. Sanitizer is much cheaper than Rubbing Alcohol and it works perfectly hope this helps Much love Annie xx

I clean my resin tools with rubbing alcohol (I got my hands on 99.9% alcohol that´s used to clean electronics ((Isapropanol alcohol)) and it works fine for me, Acetone has ruined some brushes for me, so I´m keeping with the Isapropanol)

Using a high percentage isopropyl alcohol will clean your brushes very well. I suggest putting a small amount in a tiny cup & let your brush sit in it for a minute, then just wipe on a paper towel. Acetone will clean your brush, BUT....it's really bad for the brush to clean it in acetone over & over, & will severely shorten the life of your brush. Same for nail art brushes. Alcohol is the way to go! 💖🤗💕

The swirly and goldish/brown pieces are just gorgeous. I am wondering if you might make a video on how you made them? Thank you

I would try Isopropyl Alcohol,it works well for cleaning brushes in nail art and after shellacking,which is practically the same process as this.Acetone is ok but far too harsh in the long run as it can break down certain materials if left soaking in.Or 🤔maybe turpentine,as it cleans gloss paint off brushes,but it’s very strong smelling so probably isopropyl is the best 👍🏼

I got some of tiny Pandora's deep shine resin and she did not include a brush. So far everything I have put that resin on has left streaks.

Hey Katie, thank you for giving me a look at how you attack this problem. I’ve had zero success applying thin coats of resin. Too thin I guess. Actually, what happens is that the resin pits. It looks almost like tiny creators! It doesn’t want to cover smoothly at all. Unfortunately, Tiny Pandora’s resin is the worst culprit for me, but it’s most likely cuz i haven’t been applying it correctly. Anyway, as for cleaning up your brushes with resin on them, clean them with baby oil. If there’s a lot on the brush, it may take two goes at it BUT all you need to do after that is lather up a drop of dish soap, and voilà, no more resin on your brush. Take care!

How do you stop the Chinese one from going hard while still in the bottle?
@bonbon10594 жыл бұрын
FYI. As for the two resins being the same, you are probably 100% correct because people can have the Qiao resin with a personal label put on instead of the manufactured ones.
