Brand new reborner in training here, and I've been trying to decide if I'm going to start with painting only, or painting and rooting. I love ur work and ur technique on how u do the hair.. Im wanting to do my own reborns for years now and finally decided im gonna do this. Still getting quotes on a starter kit but in the mean time im watching as much videos as i can to build up my confidence and knowledge..im so nervous but also so excited. The lady suggested air dry paint.. Your technique of doing the hair is super fast in comparison to some others that do strand by strand🤣...ill rather try urs..still a bit worried that ill go the wrong direction and hold the needle the wrong way 🙈... Yea u sure do have a nice swirl goin' on there. I root so weirdly differntly . Ive honestly never seen anybody root the way i root. But im in the medical field (medical assistant and phlebotomy).. i use a fork .. and i catch the hair first on the needle then travel it placing it to where i want it to go. I can feel when the hair catches (plus see). And as u said to lay hair/needle flat as u can.. that comes natural to me to do being in phlebotomy when u draw someones blood into the vein.. its similar thing ahhaa but. So.. as of needle.. i use organ sewing machine needle and i take magnifying glass and cut the eye off at an angle .. i use organ needles size 9.. theyre way stronger than felting needles and smaller gauge than average rooting but thr awesomeness is that they don't break. plus are shorter than felting needles so i feel i have precise control.

I've heard people say to use a sock filled with rice heated up in the microwave inside to keep the head soft while they're rooting I know some use special lamps but then I've also been told that the newer kits are made with a softer vinyl and then that's not needed? Opinions?
