Oh that’s huge. 6x3 was the biggest unit available here. But these units are only a 2min drive from my house so they are so ha du and close. The units opposite mine are the same size so I might pop my name on the waiting list for them and if they become available and I’m in a position to grab them also I will :)

quality units, good size... typical prices lol .. i wasnt sure about moving ur work area into the small one, i am not sure. @backfromburnout4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jason, I actually just hired another unit yesterday! So the plan is now I will be using that for deathpile and photographing and moving towards having ALL stock outside of my house. No stocking coming in to my house and then going to the unit (as it's a lot of double stepping). The stock thats currently at my house will stay here and be processed and then taken over to the units listed. Any new incoming stock will be taken straight to the units from now on and processed there. :)
@jasonfoster74034 жыл бұрын
@@backfromburnout That is awesome. Retro Resellers does the same thing. I think it is a great idea. Does it feel strange ot having all that stock at home?
@backfromburnout4 жыл бұрын
@@jasonfoster7403 it's feeling amazing. Although I still do have a full double garage of unlisted stock! My focus is to not source for a few weeks and just try and get as much of the deathpile over to the units. I'm hoping by the end of the year I will have nothing here stock wise :) This year has been all about growth and a lot of expenses and new systems. Next year I'm going to be on fire! :)

Great move Mel..I have paid way more than that for a bricks and mortar shop with similar storage area..plus had to pay rates and had to sign a lease etc..good thing about storage units is it is usually just month to month..plus you are not "obligated" to be open during retail hours..so yep fantastic move..I bet you won't look back now! I remember seeing a rep from Canon once at a storage unit doing what you are doing..he had no power or lighting but he was all organised with a little mini packing and office area processing his orders for the day..so even a big Company like that was obviously utilising being able to save heaps of money using a storage unit..very excited for you!

Thanks so much! Yes, I did look at other types of storage options and this was certainly the cheapest of the lot. Baby steps, one small step at a time. And I'm so glad there are no other ongoing costs involved.
