The 2 hardest steps for me are; 1.)start-up capital 2.)sourcing a product. With all of the other fundamentals down pat, as a long time eBayer, I will say that it makes my 9-5 SO much more bearable for the time being. Thanks for posting this man, you are living it up!
@phamtruax6 жыл бұрын
Damn dude, I used to do the same process for this dude out in California! He incorporated his company. Step 1. Check emails, respond as customer service etc. Step 2. Verify all addresses, names and prices according to shiprush from amazon and ebay orders. Step 3. Print out all the labels with a thermal printer (get multiple printers as backups). Step 4. Collect all the products from the inventory area. Step 5. Package all inventory into envelopes and boxes while taking pictures of big orders to prevent fraud. Step 6. Stick labels on all packages covering the opening lip to avoid prying open. Step 7. Collect all packages and put them into a giant white plastic bag. Step 8. Load all packages into your truck and deliver to the post office for shipping. Step 9. Call supplier for more inventory to be delivered to your location. Step 10. Repeat steps 1 through 9 everyday. N.B. Busiest days at the office were Mondays and Fridays. Mondays because orders piled up over the weekend and Friday to complete all the orders before leaving. You make a ton of money but barely have a life after that unless you get employees to work for you.

what do you sell and how do you find your products?
@phamtruax6 жыл бұрын
I was working for someone else who taught me how to do this. The dude was selling cosmetics for women specifically targeting middle class to wealthy women on ebay and amazon. Products sold were Murad, Dermalogica, Skinceuticals, eye liner stuff like that. Totals per day were between 500-8000$ including postage and packaging. Sourcing came from the factories shipped to the warehouse. Forklift was required.
@ceeIoc6 жыл бұрын
In sales or profits per day? I guess finding the distributor and getting a good wholesale price is important. I actually thought of a niche within cosmetics as well but never pulled the trigger. I'm just sick of my cubicle office job and wanna do this so bad lol. Any tips on how to get started?
@ceeIoc6 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I know about the legal side like LLC's etc. I started a dropshipping clothing store and had it for a while but gonna scrap it since it wasn't successful. Too much competition. What do you mean by IT infrastructure? I've sold personal items on Ebay for a long time. I have over 100 transactions so I do have some experience. And speaking of investing, I invest in crypto but that's a whole nother conversation.
@phamtruax6 жыл бұрын
The dude I worked for made me install networking wires and stuff all over his office. Special internet wires, CAT 5 or CAT 8 something to get his orders into his server quicker while also having all the security cameras hooked up to the server. The IT Infrastructure was used to make sure that all orders were recorded and backed up in case anything happened. I remember their being a closet with a bunch of servers on a rack with everything from the security cameras to the computers all being hooked up together. The dude was able to monitor me work while he was at home using a program like Teamviewer. We would talk over the phone while he was making sure I was completing the orders and correcting peoples adresses spelling mistakes (sometimes people didn't know how to fill in their addresses properly) If you know about the legal side like LLCs, why didn't you make a holding company above the LLC? With the holding company as an entity, you can pay the holding company a dividend and reinvest your earnings or take another dividends or salary personally. For clothing brands, you need to target instagrammers or high profile celebrities. Once one wears your brand, it will stream.

It is so cool that you are your own boss. No explaining to anyone why you do what you do, or why you work how you work. You are intelligent enough to know what has to be done and how to finish it in an organized and efficient manner. That is what I want to attain to. I have worked for someone else since the age of 15 (now 48), and I am ready to be my own boss and not have to deal with coworkers all day who think they are more right than I am. I already have plenty of customer service skills. You are right! The most important thing you can do when running a business is not pissing someone off and doing your utmost to satisfy them and deliver an outcome that makes them feel like the winner. It is better to lose a few bucks here and there than tarnish your reputation - because it will only cause you to hemorrhage more money. You have good business sense!!! It's like playing the market. Sometimes you lose, but most of the time you win!

Hey Diymike im so glad i ran into your channel and this video specifically. ive been a subscriber since i started my eBay business this year. It was a slow growing process for me, but I'm finally getting there. I have just reached 25 positive feedback and one neutral feedback. i had one negative feedback but like you say in this video, customer service is important and i had the customer give me a positive feedback after i gave him a refund because of a broken item. I remember having a similar day like you have in this video where i just chilled and watched my phone just blow up with sales and watched KZbin all day while it was happening, so i believe that this is a normal working day for an ebay seller. Anyways, i just got my business license and sellers permit and all that good stuff, so i hope i can reach your level of ebay sales one day! I just started selling stuff on eBay a few days ago to test the waters. I'm just selling decorative car trim pieces and so far I've fulfilled 5 orders. I have a few ideas for new products, so we'll see how it turns out. For now it's just a way to earn some extra cash. But I'll have to reduce my shipping costs, so thanks for the heads up about stamps.com.
@WarJakEnterprises6 жыл бұрын
Hey ramivalencia, congrats on your new business venture. One way to save tons of money on shipping is to use a regular printer with refillable cartriages or a Continuous Ink Supply System either one is awesome, but the CISS is better if you're doing 100's of orders daily. The thermal printer with self adhesive labels is nice & quicker, but it's a profit eater! Just use a regular printer with regular paper & stick glue to put it on the package. I've been selling online for 6 years & it works great for me!

Hey. Thanks for sharing your day. I also do a ebay bizz for my actual job. Been doing it for years and years. Just wanted to let you know that I have been using a thermal printer with the ebay shipping for about 4-5 years now, and I haven't had any issues. I tried stampscom once and it just wasn't for me. I pull my orders and answer questions from the warehouse with the ipad, and pack orders from my workstation. I sell mostly clothing, so, everything is stored in 18 gallon totes stacked on uprights and pull from the bins. I try to put stuff that doesn't sell as quickly (seasonal) on the top, because I'll need the ladder...ughh. Then, I'm off to the post office by 4 everyday! It's great to have the freedom to stop and go as you need to. Keep on making that money! This is the best job I have ever had. It's so rewarding! LOVE IT!

@Kev F. i'm a full time Amazon seller and E-bay seller for the past 8 years. I purchase from wholesellers. It's hard to get good prices if you buy low quantities. Go to Wholesale websites as wholesalecentral.com they have plenty of suppliers. But if you want good brands, you'll need bigger pockets. In this business you'll need money to make decent money. But, yes you definitely can make a lot more once you have $20K + of inventory circulating an injecting the profits back into the business.I got stuck reselling. But now a day prices are much more competitive than the past. It's still doable, but with wholesale supplier you can build a more solid business with constant suppliers.

Diymike over the past 10 years i have ran into so many people salty just like most of these commenting below. I figured it out, People hate watching or seeing someone successful, i think most of the people leaving these ridiculous comments our the ones that have nothing and hate seeing others succeed in life, They want to pass blame onto others and they want to TRY and discredit others by saying untruthful statements. I have run into people over the years that could not believe i make as much as i make doing what i love to do while they are working long and hard hours making way less and hating life, These sort of people are the inventors of the word "HATER" Most people cannot relate or even comprehend how we are able to be so successful while they are sitting around made at the world everyday waiting for the next person to make a video so they can bash them in the comments or try to ask them trick questions to see if they are real or not, These type of people will be the ones always last in the race.
@KevinHansen706 жыл бұрын
Right on. Most people love the idea of success but many hate on successful people, then they wonder why they are still broke and miserable in their jobs. I experienced negativity with some co-workers when I made the transition to quitting my job and doing ebay and flea market sales full time. Some people, especially the ones that went through college spending thousands of dollars, can't wrap their head around how this college drop-out is making more in a week than they make in a month. Instead of self educating themselves and opening their mind to all of the opportunities that are out there, they rather be negative and call others liars, make excuses, place blame on circumstances, politics, etc.. I will check out your channel. I've been putting more time into affiliate marketing and direct sales, but still do some retail arbitrage & used items on ebay because its profitable and fun to find the deals.

What's up diymike! I just watch your video on your daily routine as a reseller and i really enjoyed it and thought it was informative. I wish other ebayers and resellers would do videos like you just did. Its adds perspective on how to run your business as a reseller. Its given me more motivation to keep hustlin out here in this reselling game. Thank you very much. 👍

@diymike for transportation to drop off, im sure you have your own system that works, I would recommend having your orders covered to reduce liability and damage to your orders in the event it started raining out of no where or something else.
