Heavy steering - Check the power steering fluid. If it's low it might need topping up. I doubt it has ever been changed now might be right time to do it.

Lola's too busy making sure all the other dogs in the neighbourhood see how good she looks in the ML 55 AMG. What dog wouldn't? Getting three cars for than amount of money was some sharp trading on your part. The Cadillac, even with that many miles, will be a good running vehicle I'm sure. Definitely seems to be a channel favourite and mine. The ML 55 AMG is looking like an easy fix so far with mostly used parts to correct the neglect over the years. Wonder video once again. Thank you.

Some great progress! It's definitely a keeper, once you install a tow hitch. I always wanted an ML55, but now I'm thinking to get the ML63 to replace my E53 X5 4.8is dinan sig which gets 22 mpg highway!

Mike, your steering rack has a variable speed module that fails, causing the heavy steering at low speeds. I bought a w210 for my mother with the same issue as your ML. The module is NLA available from MB. It extremely hard to find an aftermarket replacement. My cure is replacing the entire steering rack..good luck!

Flush that Power Steering fluid, its not difficult but makes a big difference. Those Electro Hydraulic systems dont like dirty fluid more so than the standard.

There are people out there that specialize in working thouse kinds of dents out without disturbing the paint. Clearing the headlights will make a big difference.

The new hood have a considerable amount of haildings. Maybe you can PDR them out, but it looks really nice. If there is a nice but expensive tool you can share the costs with randy as he is also in need.

Gas gauges on these can be erratic.....The sender unit linked to the fuel pump is the culprit....in addition to an enthusiastic lead-weighted right foot!!!. Love the content!!

Mike, this is a no brainer. The ML55 is vastly superior to the mega-mile Escalade. I'd be surprised if you couldn't find a bolt on Tailer Hitch for it, while scrounging about. It would make decent content for you, especially if you got it at a pick-a-part type yard, so you video both the removal and installation. I've put on a couple bolt on type hitches, and it's really just paint by numbers.

The drivers power window motor might have a chaffed wire creating a short to ground. Try removing the door panel and inspect the motor wiring.

Your videos are great Mike, I’m going to have to watch the ML more closely now, just picked up a 2007 ML500 with the 5.5 this week after a kangaroo totalled my Hemi Grand Cherokee, I argued with the insurance company to fix it to no avail as I have three dogs and need the wagon type car, but I eventually found the ML, 111,000 kms 🤞🏼it’s a good one

Flush the power steering with the proper fluid, and it should return, if not, lack of maintenance has already done it's nasty deed, and a new pump is in order.

Do you possibly need a power steering fluid flush? Does the power steering have a filter? My BMW has the filter built into the power steering reservoir so I have to replace the reservoir to replace the filter. Not sure if Mercedes does something similar.
