How I Saved Minecraft Bedrock Edition...

Minecraft Bedrock Edition is a dying game. Minecraft Java Edition has always been seen as the superior game, and it probably is. But letting our childhood memories die and fade away, is something I won't let happen. We all grew up on our phones playing pocket ediiton, or our xbox playing console legacy version. I want to save those memories, and save a game that is on it's way out. Is it too late, or can Minecraft Bedrock edition be saved?

2021-2022 was the best years imo made so many friends which (who all quit) but we still talk to this day. I used to enjoy even though it got repetitive because friends made it fun, but "New Hub" just was the last call for me. the Castle being right behind spawn with the throne where everyone gathered and we'd have so much fun chilling there, plus the hive sign being actually real where you could fly players to was far better than how the spawn is right now. The spawn feels so less lively as of now and it just doesnt feel like a cool spot to afk with friends and talk about random stuff like it did before, the throne felt like home.

Thanks you Danny for bringing us all the way. 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. I used to hate bedrock a lot. But only because other people said it sucked. I gave it a try once and actually had a lot of fun playing it on my Ipad. I used to get made fun of for playing a “game for 10 year old” as a 13 year olds. But I didnt let it bother me. For the last time, Bedrock has mods! And no, I am not talking about the ones that you have to buy, there are literally FREE mods (called "addons") that you can get from external sources like this app called "Addons", and the icon is a face on one half and another one that looks like it's from a skin pack (you can get those too). My point is, Bedrock still has mods, or rather "addons".

Here is another tip to save bedrock. Make Mojang give the same modding capabilities as Java. There was a developer edition that had tons of op features that make modding substantially easier like multiple F3 menus or editing mob behavior or simscale command which allows you to see flaws in redstone creation

Pretty cool video Danny (yes, I'm very late to watching it). I only joined the community in the fall of 2022 (around the same time I found out it existed lol), mostly because I found out there was mobile content on YT. So I never saw the "peak Hive" everyone talks about, or had the fun in games people played. So from my perspective as someone coming in at one of Hive's lowest points, is that the community is only getting better, while it may not be a large community, it is a growing and dedicated one. But great video and it's cool to see the past and what you've done for the community!

For me lockdown was saved by realms. I played realms alot and did alot of crazy stuff in them. And when we first switxhed from xbox edition to bedrock i was so lost as the game looked different. However i found out that you can do commands. And that inpired me to build some command block based stuff

I remember around 2012 I started playing Minecraft on pocket edition. It was back when Minecraft PE had the netter spawner block. Of course eventually, I switched over to Java but the laptop I had at that time couldn’t handle a single mod. So after that laptop died, I lost my Java account during Microsoft purchase. Leave me with only the Xbox one version of Minecraft that I later convert over to bedrock. Now with controversy over the dream SMP members and Minecraft has a whole, the very last update is inevitable.

Honestly I think java mods are not a big push to play the game way more. A lot of modpacks are a big rush of dopamine with new things, followed by a lot of mod’s being made irrelevant because they were never balanced to work together or blend. limitation isn’t always a bad thing and makes every part of the game feel good, which is why modding the game can be hit or miss. The few modpacks I can vouch for are the ones that play off vanilla instead of making a whole new game because at that point I may as well be playing another game.

This video says a lot, everything about Bedrock needs to have more though put into it, the lack of people making Bedrock content is one of the largest factors of the game is dying. Bedrock players can’t go back to previous versions, it’s also what kills the game. Mojang and all the server owners can fix all this. How I stayed playing Minecraft is. Not playing it as often but go back to it at some point and play. Play servers, play with friends or strangers. I wish you can play other peoples maps, Use to do it alot in pocket edition it was very fun. Also I went and tried something new, so on my Xbox series x. I Got a keyboard and mouse and it was playing with different controls.

I think what would help you love the game agian, is playing with mods, maps, Challanges.. and not playing as often or else it bore you, yes you did it as a kid but not the same anymore where don't get bored as easily. so go back to it in few weeks or a month or something and may have some time, playing with friends or strangers that become online friends can be fun.
