Scoring a 700 on the GMAT! Skip this entire video because it goes away back than 2 months. This girl has a strong educational background that developed during her childhood. She didn't have to spend much time on the basics so she spent 2 months on the really hard parts because that's what she needed. So if you found yourself struggling through college but still made it congrats, I was on the same boat. You have to suck it up and study much longer than 2 months. Plain and simple! Just to reach an example. I can work on my abs for 2 months and have them show. But I only had 18 percent body fat and only had only had to bring that down to 11. I did that very quickly. Poor educational background is like trying to get abs as fast as me in the same time frame when you have 28 percent body fat All in all, she's was smart before those 2 months. I know people who got a 740 and a 760 only studying for 1 month. So don't expect the same plan as her.

well, its not only about inteligence. 1 part is english language, which for some is redicoulously easy depending on where they grew up. Idk where is she from but she speaks fluently. If you english is fluent you only have to study math. This kind of math, ofc need you to be clever, but its more about methodology, its not high level math. The most important thing on gmat is time management, and that again depends on the person. Some have it in them, some need to work hard to get better on it.

Why would that make a difference on GMAT preparation? Maths in GMAT are pretty basic and are nothing new that they haven't taught you at elementary and secondary school. Actually the quantitative part is the easiest part to improve. The verbal part is the thickest and hardest part of the GMAT and it's way more difficult to improve.
@nadiab.88696 жыл бұрын
Yeah.. I wonder.. Why would being used to dealing with numbers and to mathematical thinking help for the GMAT??? No... really, I don't know...

You guys haven't seen a GMAT exam in your entire life, otherwise I can't believe you. Maths at GMAT are BASIC maths, if you struggle with that part you really need to do a review on everything you've learnt so far.

I’m applying to two schools in Texas, two schools in Arizona, and my Alma Mater. I’m planning to take it January 29th, and I’ve been going on and off since summer I want to stay studying. The two apps I use are GRE Vocab, and Vocabulary Builder. One you have to pay like 5.99 for. I’ve been watching a ton of KZbin videos as well. Bryan Tong was Super helpful as well as Firm Learning were super helpful. I highly recommend watching their videos. A lot of schools are offering waivers right now, but I have average grades, so I wanted to challenge myself, and take it. I also did the GMAT mini test from a website that was like 7 questions from the official GMAT page. I did horrible on my ACT’s, so I’m not expecting myself to do well on the GMAT, but I’ll comment my score when I find out 😃 Thanks Marina!

Maybe it will sound silly, but the first thing that any student should know is his or her real command of the language. Native english speakers can achieve a 700 or more easier than a non native speaker. The other thing is that there are non-native speakers who have a solid knowledge about english receiving a good education in english at school. The guys who have a low or intermediate level are in serious disadvantage regardless of their reasoning abilities. One thing that someone told me about this issue is that if you lack confidence about your level, you should take the toefl first and get 26+ in the Reading section. If you've got less than that score, you may have serious problems to understand the verbal questions in gmat, in that case, you would fail the exam not because of a lack of reasoning or understanding of concepts but because of a lack of command of the language. The other important point that nobody mentions is the fact that if you want to get a higher score, you should practice difficult questions with time, 700 level questions, so the OG practice just help you to start practicing but not for improving your performance.
@prernasahni83135 жыл бұрын
Most of the native English speakers think that their English is amazing, whereas when it comes to tests like GMAT or GRE, most of them fail terribly due to their overconfidence

I know because I am from India. Scoring 700 on GMAT is pretty common in India too. I scored 750, but was still rejected from MBA programs here. I lack quality work experience and my profile is rather over-represented- Indian IT male. Enough said.

What is more important? The overall score or the "balance" of Q and V? I scored 700 today, but it is not balanced. While my Q is less than what I would perceive as satisfactory my verbal was in the 98. percentile. Does this hurt the "value" of my test?

The only explanation for your scoring 700 on GMAT with two months prep is that you are exceptionally intelligent and hardworking. And 99% people like me who are mere mortals just doesn't have the ability and resilience to get there. Thus I am couch surfing at my parents home ..while you are taking decisions affecting thousands if not millions :)
