Yes we can. Think of the board exam as the final boss that will give you the main rewards and the periodic tests as it's henchmen that won't give you any rewards but experience. That's how I study😊

The handwriting must be understandable...you're good to go... But still if it's not easily understood, try leaving one finger distance between words, writing clearly with enough space, underlining the key words, writing in points might help. :))
