I got my first Birkin a few years ago in Hawaii too.As long as you spend " enough", you would get your B, K or C. I think the only store that you dont have to buy other stuff would be the Paris stores.

I love handbags I really do, even though I don’t like the style of Hermès (except for Constance bag that I like a lot)congratulations for buying the bag that you’ve wanted. For love of god though this whole method of “scoring” a chance to *buy* a bag, just really makes me dislike the company even more, and no -for me the lack of bags don’t makes me want to hunt them down, and spend money just so the SA will allow me to go on and purchase a bag -this marketing is way to disgusting for my taste

I do think the Kelly’s are gorgeous - but I agree, this feels unnecessarily catty for a 9k plus item. I think it’s so neat how their made, but if I had 9k to spend on a bag - I would be so disappointed if I went in and the associate just didn’t like me.

Thanks for sharing...I have just returned from Paris on the 16th of Dec...was able to score a K25 Blue Nuit... you are absolutely correct...I started speaking to the S.A. ( Ave George V) they now take appointments as well, for the same day...Once, I started speaking to him and expressed my knowledge and showed him photo's of what I do own...He offered me two different colors of choice...He asked if I was purchasing anything else, I said , Yes, but, I wanted to purchase everything together and it depended on the colors that were offered to me....He did state that, he offered me the bags as he saw I had a passion for the brand... FYI: I tried to secure an appointment (3) times at the Flag Ship Hermes as I was there 5 days, was rejected..I also walked into the store to see if I could vibe with someone...didn't happen...

Hey Mel im glad you manage to score a bag in Hermes, but honestly my biggest issue with Hermes in general is the fact that you have to spend a lot of money first in order to get offered a bag, in my honest opinion it's a dirty marketing tactic, i mean of course if people like their other smaller items and SLGs then its okay but then again if i only like their bags why would i have to spend my money on other items first, and its not like a guaranteed process that i would be offered a bag as well. I might be a minority here, but i'm the type of person who's not specifically loyal to just one brand, i buy the things that i like regardless of the brand, but it seems very impossible if you want to score yourself a B/K in Hermes, unless you buy it second-hand/preloved.
