We all like and appreciate different styles/colours/sizes so as long as you love what you buy it doesn't matter what others say. By the way don't worry if you didn't guess right I actually have another surprise for my beloved #faMELy coming up soon! Xo Mel P.S To be fair for the guess to be correct (as I stated in the last video) it had to state if the bag was either a B or K and specify size/colour of bag and hardware. However I hope it was fun playing the guessing game and I think in future we should do this more often with little prizes as well ☺️ Edit 17/11 I got a few questions on this so thought I’ll pin it here for any of you wondering. The Hermes system is not linked worldwide. So for example when I am in Paris they cannot see my buying history in Australia. I do know that within France it’s all linked but I do not believe it is throughout Europe (if anyone knows any different please let me know). As it was my first time in the Prague store (my first purchase on the day too with just the Kelly bag and Twilly, hubby did not buy shoes beforehand) I actually had to register as a new customer. So that’s why I don’t think the SA in Prague could see my history in France either. Also when she offered us the bag, she never asked for any passport or details. So to her we were just walk-ins/tourists. I hope that clears things up :)

The bag is just amazing!! Now it may not be my style because of the size but you know what, if it is your style that’s totally fine..btw it looks stunning on you Mel it suits you very well!! I agree with everything you are saying. I love her channel and her videos. But I really wonder even the rich would have trouble buying this much especially at these price points. Let’s face it she is a major influencer so I wonder is she gets these bags as promos or loaners. I have a couple celebrity level relatives and I will tell you they don’t pay for anything In exchange for being seen around town if you get what Im saying. The closet video was modest compare to all the shopping.

I’ve experienced scoring a birkin by just walk-in too. It was in Swiss Bern and it was literally my first visit to that store. Actually Iwas in a family trip to Europe and actually we were in Zurich before we went to Bern. I wanted to buy a specific scarf but they didn’t have any in stock and I happened to tell the sales lady the destinations we were heading after Zurich. The sales lady told me that in Hermes Bern boutique, there was a scarf that I wanted and she could hold it for me. A few days later, i went in to Bern boutique and I can’t remember how or why but I asked the SA that I was looking for a Craie bag with gold hardware. At that time Craie was a new color for Hermes and back then Craie seemed to be not as popular as now. And the sales lady went back with a Craie birkin 30 gold hardware. She told me that it was a item that was rejected twice from that store VIPs and I was so lucky. Anyway it was a long story Hehe.... Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience and share what you got! It is so gorgeous! I had Vert Cypress mini evelyne but I sold it because it didn’t fit as much as I thought. So it was nothing wrong about the color!! Thanks for always caring and sharing and hope you reach 200k anytime soon!

Congratulations! I think this is one of the most beautiful Kellys I have seen. The 35 is a great size. It’s not at all like a 35cm tote, which can seem enormous, it’s still definitely a handbag size and so elegant.

Hi Mel we live in Canada and are now in French Polynesia on our 10th wedding anniversary we had a 24 hr stopover in San Francisco and went straight to the hermes store just to take a chance for a bag but also to purchase items not sold in Canada, while there we met a sweet SA who helped us throughout our purchase ,of course we mentioned that we always wanted a Birkin or Kelly , in the end they were closing shop and moving to new location so they had very little stock in store ,the store was closing on Saturday for 1 week.Only thing disappointing was my purchase history in Canada was not in the system😥 so I had to make a new profile with this location 🥰, after we left to go back to rental car my wife was hungry and stopped in for some snacks I checked my email and saw a message from that wonderful SA from 30min after we left saying it was nice meeting us and asking if we were still around I emailed back saying yes but no reply we then decided to go back and see but she was out for lunch break so we waited across the street for 20 min and said let's try 1 more time and she was there and said she had a surprise to show us we weren't sure what it was and said sure, low and behold a 35 Birkin limited edition Tressage blue encre Swift leather in palladium hardware .we are so in love with our first ever Birkin .sorry for long story btw big fans

Your bag is beautiful! I walked into a boutique in Dallas, Texas and was offered a Birkin without them even asking my name. It is the Gold Birkin 35 with the gold hardware and I absolutely love it. So, yes, you can buy a bag (if you are lucky) without a purchase history at a different boutique. Always ask, it can’t hurt!

Not going to disclose too much here, but I'm a creative director in the advertising industry and one of my contacts at Hermes (I've worked on 2 projects for them years ago) told me that a key part of their brand strategy in order to deter customers from putting their bags on the second-hand market is to focus on sales around clients looking to own a particular piece to celebrate a big milestone or anniversary of sorts. I think it goes without saying that if you're buying a bag to commemorate a meaningful anniversary/milestone, you're most likely going to hold on to that forever. Hopefully this bit of insight proves helpful for anyone trying to score a particular piece.
