Also, one of the most helpful tips I've learned so far is to "look for wrongness not rightness" ! Look through the answer choices and eliminate the answer choices you're sure are wrong. It'll help you find the answer a lot quicker rather than going through each choice and assessing if it's correct. Sounds weird, I know, but I don't make the rules- it works lol

Hello. I took the LSAT - Flex today. I have taken it previously, my first score was 129 second score 136. (self study) Hopefully my score goes up, I can expect my score on June 5. There has been some changes on the LSAT due to the pandemic. Test takers can take it at home and there are only three section LR LG LC 33% on the LSAT- Flex. Also, LSAC has not release an official scoring table, so I have no clue what to expect...thanks for listening to me vent...congratulations on your 164 I wish you the absolute best...great channel by the way...

I took my diagnostic test yesterday and got 149! I’m taking 7sage and when i get asked question without a time restraint, i do pretty good. But what really made me get a 149 was the timing. It stresses me out and i kept looking at the clock and didnt answer some questions. So hopefully by taking practice exams over and over i will learn to not be so stressed over the time and stay calm. So far, 7sage is great and it’s only $68 a month! Hopefully by August I can get my score up to the high 150’s or 160.

There's also a free LSAT prep course on Khan Academy. You can take a free diagnostic LSAT at your nearest Kaplan office. I highly recommend getting real previously administered LSATs and taking them under timed circumstances. I taught for Kaplan before and don't really think it's worth it unless you need that scheduled class to force yourself to study.

I think the problem a lot of people have with the LSAT is timing. You only have 35 minutes to complete each section. It is easy to run out of time and get a low score on this test.
@dathunderman44 жыл бұрын
Definitely. Which is why it’s a problem that a number of people are gaming the system and paying for diagnoses of psychological disorders to get accommodations (1.5 or 2x extra time). Ever since a lawsuit against lsac only a couple years ago, lsac has been extremely lenient with their accommodations policy. A lot of ppl are taking advantage of this (not the ppl who genuinely have a disability and need accommodations).

Congrats on your score! I started off studying with a online course with Kaplan. I scored a 130 on my diagnostic test and as the course went on I came up to about a 140. Then took the official test and regressed back down to a 130. My cousin told me about PowerScore so I got their 3 books and have been self studying. They seem to really break things down. Now I'm not saying I still understand it completely but I think I got a better understanding of whats going on. I been really going hard on the LR section this past month and a half. I'm scheduled for the April exam but who knows if that will really go off like its supposed to. My plan is to spend the final month practicing games to get a better understanding of them to the point that I'm confident in doing them. I just know I'll be glad when this is over! Lol

@damondwilson57994 жыл бұрын
@@wutitdo305 Yes I was in the 130's for awhile. The improvement seems to be minimal at first but you start to see yourself improve slowly. I started off just wanting to get over average which is 150. I set a goal of 155. I have yet to reach that yet but I will. I was looking forward to starting Law School this year but have decided to just continue to prepare and take the exam again later in the year and apply next year. The schools that I'm interested in deadlines have either passed or about to pass and with that goes the scholarship money so for me its best if I wait until next cycle. Also for me I suffered from test anxiety I'm usually pretty relaxed and calm but I guess I began to feel pressured and eventually it would get to me and clearly affected me. I'm focused on taking timed test as much as possible and believe me its been helping as my score has come up to the 140's. Thats solely due to me taking timed tests and not just timed sections (and reviewing). Good luck to you in your prep I wish you well! You got this...we got this counselor!

If you guys have the money please consider The Princeton review. They really teach you how to break down the arguments. My LSAT diagnostic score went from 125 to 148 to 158 in one month. They break the questions down to the words that’s how detail they are. They show you how certain words trigger certain logic types questions, they show you how to eliminate the wrong answers in less than 30 seconds again by identifying words in the answers. The words in the answers is the key to knowing what’s wrong. For example if a question asks you which most strengthens the answer, whenever you see the word “most strengthens” there are actually two correct answers but only one can mostly strengthen the question that’s the trick and catches you sometimes.

Would appreciate some advice. I want to actually start self-studying and actually taking the LSAT for the next fall term (Fall 2022). Trying to self-study with additional resources AND score well for the LSAT. Any advice for actually applying for law schools (when to ask for recommendations, send LSAT scores, send a personal statement, etc) And is 26 too old to start law school? Your advice is much appreciated :)
@ncstate1474 жыл бұрын
Base everything around when applications are due for whatever law schools you want to apply to. I'm trying to get into law school next fall and most of my apps are due by this spring, so I ended up taking my first LSAT this past July and I'm taking it one more time in a couple weeks and once I get my Nov. score back, I'm going to have to ask for recommendations pretty much now up until when I submit my apps along with the personal statement. Just give yourself enough time in relation to the App deadlines just in case you need to retake the lsat but other than that, there's plenty of time! 26?! Too old?! Take that back! lol
