it’s ok to house males together! It’s ok I’ve done it before the only thing is when I was breeding them the 2 males tried humping each other which was real strange and also u can keep males with females after birth (if it’s the dad) virgin males will eat the babies but the dad mouse will help keep them warm

Demon King I have a pair of brothers, I tried separating them once and it seriously stressed them. Usually only male littermates will get along. Buying two males that did not grow together is a baaaaaad idea. It also depends on their temperament

I think it's important to mention that you mix their food with regular "petshop food" and pellets, since mice (and rats/hamsters etc) select their food which usually results in them not getting all the nutrients they need. Petshop foods are usually just fillers (like corn) which isn't gonna keep your mouse healthy in the long run. Whereas pellets contain e-ve-ry-thing they need. So mixing them gives them the best of both worlds; treats and food at all times! :) (Not educating you, just telling your fans in case some people don't know a lot about mice/rats)

My favourite part is when I’ve cleaned and anti-backed their cage and add a layer of absorbent pellets, paper shreddings and then hay! So satisfying to see them all clean and smelling fresh. Nothing nicer than seeing them investigate their new setup!
@H-DA
@H-DA 2 жыл бұрын
Actually it is the worst one can do. Mice need the smell of their group to feel home, without that smell they are stressed a lot and it can even couse fights among them. Maybe not in a very tiny enclousure like this one but as soon as you keep them in a real cage you should only clean sections and never everything in one go. Also mice will pee much more to get their smell back to "sign their home" and it will smell way more because of that. They don't do that if you only clean a part of it and leave them some used bedding.

I just brought home a male mouse for my current female to breed with (I have a ball python) and named him Monkey. Unlike some other breeders, I love my mice. I'm working on moving my snake from her 40 gallon tank to a 75, and moving my female mouse into the 40 gallon tank so she's completely comfortable when she lives with Monkey. I'm also cleaning out a 10 gallon tank for a temp cage for Monkey until he settles in with Minnie (the female) since he's currently in a glass carrier. I took him out of a stressful situation. He was at a pet store (not a chain one) as a feeder, and he was in a 10 gallon with 20+ more adult mice. Poor babies Edit: Monkey and Minnie are now living happily together in a 40 gallon tank!

How many quarts is this bin??? My little girl just passed away and I’m now looking for a couple girls to put with moo (my baby mouse) but I want to upgrade and the best way I can think to do that is to move to bins.

I have a large (or XL I'm not sure) living world guinea pig cage..(I don't have pigs I just got a cage cause why not) would that be okay for one male mouse? Or would it squezze through the bars? O-e
@Moon_samurai128

It would squeeze through the bars but you can put wire mesh over it

I recommend you put some tall driftwoods in since they can’t climb that much. Drift wood is really nice looking and they can use their tails. That’s just my own little input for when I had mice. Great video! Love your geckos too

i need advice. i don’t have many animals and i’m not able to frequently buy them new stuff since i’m in debt because of a vet bill. and it’s so hard to convince my parents to help me because they won’t let me go anywhere to work. i got my hamster when she was 8 weeks old when she randomly got sick. i had saved up the money to get her a larger bin cage, though her cage now is 500sq. inches. i wanted her to have at least 800, 1000 would’ve been preferred. my mouse has a 1000 sq. inch cage. (he’s a male) my hamster also is getting way bigger than expected so i have to buy her a 12 inch wheel instead of her 8 inch wheel. i need fast ways to make money but i cant have a job because i’m 13. but animals are my absolute passion and i love them so much. what are good ways to make money without having a job?
